did you have any problems with the castle system setup, does the throttle channel have to be reversed, did you have to mess with the dead band settings?

hey redfisher do you have the tactic 2.4 radio?
Yes I do.
I did have to reverse the throttle channel.

Not enough amps from that battery, try and turn the start power right down and see if that helps.

I think the direct marketing of the truck in hobby town is a good way to sell them. The demand for trucks depends on dealers deciding what they put on their shelves and it looks like HT decided to push the firestorm by jamming it in every store. I bet more get sold this way than the way HPI was doing it before.

Well, it worked in my case.

I just wanted a good starter vehicle that could take a beating. And it just so happened that the nearest hobby store to me was a HobbyTown USA.

Keep in mind, they have nearly every manufacturer vehicle in the store. All on display with one of each on the shelf for you to play with.

For someone new to the hobby, the E-Firestorm really is an easy sell.

They sold me.

It's a better package than the original with the chrome rims and sharp looking shell plus a much lower price. That's why I bought three of them even though I have no use for the electronics or tx, it's still a good roller to build on. I wanted to run different motors and escs so the Flux version was out of the question, I just hope HT keeps sellin them....

Me too. I want to see more aftermarket support. The Blitz helps but where in the hell are the body choices?

I WILL get this to fit for a 'Most Wanted" concept I have:

I wonder what I would have walked out of the store with if I wasn't buying 3 and I didn't have only $600 to spend?

ST's are probably on the backburner with all the hype/focus now on SC stuff, it'll come back around at some point.

Got the 4x4 Pede yesterday, tore it all apart and did some mods. Another Mamba SCT system in service. You don't need a new unused Velineon system do you lol...jk

Got it, pm returned..

Another tip for you, on the drive axle cups and dogbones I use Odonnell O'Lube wax lube on the drive cups. They last a lot longer plus when you see them starting to cup swap them side to side so you drive/wear on the opposite side of the cup. You can swap the diff 180* to do the same there. Dont run them when they get warn and start clicking or you risk breaking the diff housing at the side bearing....
