I like the TBR stuff too.
Stryker nice RC Box. Here is mine it is a Plano tackle box (guide series).
Has lots of bins for organized storage
Parts tray top
Parts tray bottom
These smaller trays fit in the top. They are great for organizing hardware.
The top allows easy access to frequently used items
There is another tray with some tools and part. It wasn't very photo-genic.
I love my RC Box. Never leave home without one haha

KABAAAM!! THREAD EXPLOSION TODAY
It may be worth it to try and take the endbell off and tap new holes. its pretty easy to do and an M3 tap and bit is around $12. The tap is very useful for many RC things.

agreed, you'll only wear out spurs if you kill pinions, and you only kill pinions by landing on rocks, pinion first... and such... yeah... it was a new one too

electricrc68-Best way to check your mesh is run the paper through the gears and see it's fasinating acrordian... If to loose it looks slightly wavy, if too tight the paper rips. Or you can find the spurs 'high side' and see the amount of 'play' the pinion has. It should have the slightest bit.

whenever i feel like it :P, pretty much whenever i get really board, or it starts to feel really gritty, low on oil, pull off the springs and feel for it being not so smooth and consistitant, or you want to play with handling...

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
Oh by the way, me and my cousin are gonna have a showdown between my Storm and his rustler. Since I really have only stuck to NIMH
he cant use his 3S. So it either he uses his 7-cell or 2S lipo. He has aluminum shocks... in which I dont . So thats the only let down besides my car's substancal wieght ( motor, battery, crwaler rims, etc) Any advice?

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
is he on lipo\brushless, cuz that could be a huge factor in the race... if youre still on brushe,d but if hes only running a 7 cell on the titain 12t... then id say it could be pretty even, the rustler is a pretty old school design, early nineites, i would say your storm could out drive a rusty any day of the week, and speed isnt always the deciding factor...

I'm out for a night and this place goes mad....
One thing about TBR;
My motor got heavily scratched after the lipo upgrade.
Don't know why I took so long to cover my Storm with their parts....It's a essential upgrade that should be included from factory.
Just do It!
And don't forget the wheelie bar!
I will catch up with all the posts later, now I need to shut down and sleep.
Last week of the year is always savage...non stop parties every night and hang overs every day...

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
Seeing as how this thread hasn't been getting any action later, I decided to revive it before it fell off the first page never to be seen again.*emote/sarcasm*
Let's talk servo-saver. I know it's a topic near and dear to our hearts thanks to the wonderful designers at HPI. There are a few posts in this thread that caught my eye. One in particular was around page 258 in regards to Nopancakemix breaking the tabs off of his 4th steering servo and Red recommending that his saver was too tight. I was under the impression that there was no "too tight' in regards to these things as they arenotoriousfor coming loose.
Anywho, I just replaced my steering servo after the first day of bashing my new car chewed up my plastic gears. Mind you, one of the first things I did when I got the car was to wrench down as hard as I could to ensure it was tight. I'm wondering if I went TOO tight.
Eric Shauver (over atwww.rcshortcourse.com/forum/showpost.php) recommends around 1.51 for a "rough setting for max steering while retaining some protection... too tight like gluing and locking down the saver (YES we tried it) will make the front end unpredictable on 1 wheel landings".
I'm wondering if I destroyed my own servo by having the saver too tight. I'm taking it apart once I've finished this post to tinker with it.
Discuss....

Yes you did, The saver saves the servo buy slipping when the front tires take a hit. You are better off using locktite on it rather then tightening it right down

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
Well, it just so happens that I have some locktite so I'll go ahead and loosen it up a bit and secure it that way.
Thanks Red. From what I was reading, I thought that I had to tighten it down. Isn't perception something?
I didn't mess with my kids servo-savers, so I'll just let them be until theyloosen. Daddy's car it the experimental one.

I tightened mine down really tight after the first loosening. I haven't ruined a servo yet but, I keep mine very tight, like all the way. I may loosen it a touch...

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
I've ruined a few servo's having things too tight. I don't like how little movement the integy bellcrank allows. Another problem I had was the plastic with the ~6mm hex bolt on the opposite side of the spring and tension nut (not shown in the picture above) pulled through the top losing all tension.
My neu motor came today.
I've had troubles loggin on and posting messages and photos lately. Has anyone else had this problem?
