Guys, meet Guido Ising. He is a very important man to us all even though you probably have never heard his name. Up to 5 months ago he was employed by CARF and he is the designer of both the CARF Corsair and the P-47. I was privileged to meet him at this years Top Gun event. I was able to spent some time with him after my competition flights. I learned quite a bit about the process of bringing planes like this to market. I gained a new appreciation for how difficult it is to maintain quality in today's manufacturing environment. Guido is very detail oriented as you would expect. He is from Germany but moved to Thailand just a few blocks from the factories where the planes are manufactured and was also responsible for quality control. I invited him to our thread and hope he can chime in from time to time. We are hooked up via email and plan to stay in touch.
PS, YES, i was compelled to ask him what was next on the list of CARF offerings, knowing that it was probably top secret. Well, it still is. ;-)

Gary, if you know of anyone building the CARF Corsair who is doing a fully detailed cockpit and would be interested in a highly detailed seat and set of rudder pedals I would love to speak with them. I built these items for a project that was cancelled and I have no need of them myself. Not interested in giving them away but will sell at a reasonable price. I would also be willing to repaint the seat into the proper interior green color if desired.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Cool, thanks Gary. I forgot that I also have a throttle quadrant for the Corsair as well which can be seen below. The one pictured was for a Ziroli Corsair and is a bit smaller than the one I have for the CARF airplane but looks identical otherwise. It is not painted or assembled yet and looks exactly as the first two pictures below. I would be happy to do the paint and assembly if a deal is reached. A reply to your PM is inbound so keep an eye out for it and thanks again.

I designed and scratch built everything you see Gary. The rudder pedals and throttle quadrant are primarily 3d printed and I can have those made for you all day long if you need more. The seat and seat frame are substantially more complex and represent a pretty time consuming project all on their own. Of course they could be simplified as much of the detail will be practically invisible in a finished cockpit.

Made another short video to explain how we eliminate air in the fuselage by using a mechanical closure for the tail gear doors instead of air cylinders.
