Where is a Source to get more realistic Machine Guns for my Top Flite FW190; I can live with the ones provided for the wings but would like to change the ones they provided for the Gun Hood; I know someone had a Lathe and they used and Machined the ones that came with their TF FW190 to be more scale like, I don't have a Lathe, wish I did, hey good excuse to get one.......nay, the wife would have a coronary.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I actually thought about that, I have a drill press that I could use, just wasn't sure if it would work all that great; what did you use as a tool to turn the barrel down to get the desired effect, a small file or something?

while the drill in the vice turns the barrel I used my dremel with a cutting disk for part of it then I used a micro file for clean up... remember not to cut too deep... I used my drill press afterwards to drill in the cooling holes (cooling shroud).

Mine came in at 26.6 lbs with electric starter set up, dual NIMHs 2200 for rx, 7.4 LIPO on retracts, 3s 2200 on starter. At the time there wasn't any wind and it seemed like the flaps did nothing for me. "Seemed" . Usually I see some ballooning or fight a nose down situation but she kept her glide angle and didn't budge! When I saw that, the only thing I kept saying was "uh oh"
Pilot error may be to blame on this but I won't know til I fly her again. I moved everything around on my 14sg due to choke and electric start and I am thinking I never hit idle down for approach. I may just have a mix with full flaps to drop idle. I just have always used an idle up condition on all my planes.

Dblex,
Mine (when I had it) would slow down fine. Make sure your flaps are coming all the way down to the recommended angle. I use two settings. One to start her slowing down and then I'd deploy those agonizingly slow electric gear. Turn fiinal and lower the flaps all the way. She slowed down fine but once I touched down, I couldn't keep her off her nose. too slow on the flare.... flew it 6 times.3 very nice landings.....2 on her nose broken props, skinned up cowl. Number 6, well the rest is history.lost a signal and she went in. DANG....I did like that warbird.
