I did it on my SM Viperjet. Didn't work that great, all I got was oily grass at the back of the plane ;)

Moved it right at the turbine, works much better. I didn't use the 'preheat' trick, so...

I've got it balanced on the wing-tube, nose slightly down.

(Easy to balance as well, just slide the wings off a bit and loop a string around the wingtube)

What I did was slow the channel the brake valve is down so it goes from -100 to 100% in about 3 seconds, so the brakes are applied slowly.
