Ceramic ball bearings in glow engines have a tendancy to shatter once there life is up. Completely ruining your engine. Ask me how I know;)

Go to "throttle cut" and enable Gear0 or Gear1 depending which way you want switch to activate the kill

if you are joining a club then see what sort of radio they use there. Help will be easier to come by when you need it.
I would use a 2.4 set up and go for a minimum of an 8 channel transmitter....

You can use any Futaba 35mhz receiver, single or dual conversion, ppm or pcm.
They are very cheap on auction sites as most have gone over to 2.4 now

I would go with an os copy, something like an ASP 91fs. These are reliable and well priced.
