RE: CL 215 form KMP

Well...today I encountered my first real disappointment with the kit. I started to mount the control horn for the rudder and the wood around the hole I drilled just collapsed. My control horn tore...

RE: CL 215 form KMP

Hello RZAPP

I appreciate the photos and information. I agree that the engine cowling will be the hardest part. I haven't crossed that bridge yet. I did notice that you positioned all your...

RE: CL 215 form KMP

Installed the elevator joiner while the HTs were temp mounted on the fuselage. Be sure to follow the hinge line when marking the spot for drilling the fuselage. I caught myself following the...

RE: CL 215 form KMP

I test fitted the horizontal tails (HT) to the fuselage after drilling the carbon fiber rods and I noticed some gaps between the HT and the fuselage. I can close the gaps by pulling on the HT in the...

RE: CL 215 form KMP

It has been a few days since my last entry. I have a landscaping project at my home that has to get done so I have devoted most of the last two weekends to it.

Since my last entry, I decided to...

RE: CL 215 form KMP

I read RZAPP's entry and sure enough, there are some instructions that are out of step. If anyone else is building this ARF, do not glue on the elevator and rudder to the stabilizers as instructed...

RE: CL 215 form KMP

Well...after receiving my CL-215 last year, I was so excited to start the build. Alas, work and a trip overseas postponed my build till now. I started last night by closely examining all the...

RE: CL 215 form KMP

Hello Andy,

I opened the huge box yesterday to inspect the kit. There was absolutely no damaged and it was packaged very well. The kit is of high quality and should assemble fast. I looked...

RE: sea water

Kantina2005,

I use to fly from saltwater in Corpus Christi, Texas. It is possible to fly RC but I learned that careful cleaning and maintenance was a MUST to prevent your aircraft and...

RE: CL 215 form KMP

I emailed them last week and was told that the shipment has left the factory and on it's way. Was also told that we could expect them in 4-6 weeks which puts it around mid to end of July. I am...

RE: CL 215 form KMP

I emailed with KMP earlier today and there will be another delay on delivery. I do not know how long though. I hope they get here soon because it's float flying season here already:D

RE: CL 215 form KMP

I saw on the website that this aircraft uses 13 servos. I can't figure out where it can use them all. Depending on configuration, I can only see 8-10 at the most. Can anyone enlighten me?

RE: CL 215 form KMP

Mine is on order as well. February seems a long time away. In the meanwhile, I'll keep playing with the Mariner. In Fort Worth, it's a year round event:D
