A question for those who are flying this plane - do you think it will fly with a Kingtech G45 turbine? It's all I have at the moment, and since I am working with my wife's budget, no prospects for...

Yeah, on my 50cc SBach, the motor was too far out as well. I was going to use my trusty DLE55, but then measured the other motor I had, a RCCR 55 Twin, and it was just right, so went with that...

Friend of mine stuck a DLE 55 on the nose of a GP Giant Stick, and it was ballistic, to say the least. Prop clearance was a problem, plus had to really beef up the front end, to take all the...

I have a GP Patty Wagstaff Extra, with a CRRC 55cc Twin, and I can tell you it's heavy!!! Never weighted it, but it's heavier than my Aerobeez 30% Yak 54 with a DLE 55. And it flies heavy as well -...

Something to remember, you will need plenty of ventilation with that big motor and ESC up front. I cut holes in the bottom of the plane just behind the wing, plus holes in the cowling for cooling. I...

I had a Goldwing SBach 342 30% plane that I converted from a DLE 55 to electric. My motor was overkill, a Turnigy 8317 (I think) - the motor with two 6 cell 5000 lipo's was actually heavier than the...

I would be a bit concerned about vibration, however it's about the only way to make it work without making up some sort of bellcrank setup.

I have a Aerobeez 50cc SBach 330, that I converted to electric. I am using a Turnigy 8317 brushless (similar to the Turnigy Rotomax 50), a Turnigy 160 amp ESC, and 2 six cell 5000 mah batteries in...

RE: Redwing RC 30cc MXS-R build and review.

I have this plane with a DLE-35, and I like to call it the Space Shuttle - with a 19x8 prop, it's truely a rocket! And at 4500' altitude no less - amazing!!!

RE: What brand is this Yak?

To me, it looks like a Sig Sukhoi that's been recovered - although that is not the Sig landing gear, for sure. Probably the Goldberg one.

RE: Dirt cheap 100cc airframe?

I think he said it was $299 or something like that. He changed the wing tube, added more hinges, used a carbon-fiber landing gear from another 100cc model - did everything he could see to help it...

RE: Dirt cheap 100cc airframe?

A friend of mine had the NP Sukhoi, and notice I said he "had" it - he was flying one day, pulled up to do a stall turn, and the the tail broke off just ahead of the stab - literally ripped the fuse...

RE: Thunder tiger Raptor E 620 SE orphan?

You will love this bird - I have the e550 Raptor, and it's a kick. Only think is the high cost of batteries, but it will do everything my Titan will do, just quieter.

I have the stock TT ESC, I...

RE: Raptor 30 V1 with OS 50?? Need some help

Where are you taking your temperature reading? You should be just at the bottom of the head, or around there anyway.

Don't worry about the manual setting, that's just a suggestion to start with....

RE: Cheaper Gyro's 401 nockoffs - what's wrong with them!!

I have a 401 Knockoff, had it on my Trex 500. It worked well, until the little reverse switch started switching itself by itself. I guess it's something that can happen on a name-brand gyro as well....

RE: Trex 450 CLONE WARS

I second that - hitec hs65mg's

Other option is to look for the JR servo pack, which has 3 ds285's, and 1 ds3400g for the tail. The price is pretty good on them - HOWEVER, they are not metal...

RE: first flight on raptor 30

And just think - that 30 can become a 50 easily! Motor, pipe, motor mount, fan, boom gears, and blades, and you then have a Raptor 50 - same weight, with more power (power is good!!!). The Raptor 30...

RE: Best Rudder Servo for Raptor 60

A gyro is something you should not go cheap with - same with the rudder servo. Get the 401 with the 9254 servo, and you can't go wrong. I tried one of the cheap gyro's when one was given to me, on a...
