RE: H9 60 Size P-47 Thunderbolt-Build & Flying

Bruc Nut:
Do yourself a favor: discard the original retracts and put something more rigid.
The wire struts used are just too weak to handle this plane.

RE: Saito FG-20 or 21

Regarding this subject of pressurizing gas fuel tanks, I think it should be a good idea to put one of these fuels filters with a metallic mesh element in the line between the muffler and the tank....

RE: KMP / YT FW-190 Build Thread

Splais:
I had to order a tailor made pitts muffler from JTEc to fit into to cowling. I’ve tried a Bison muffler first but it was too big.

Hi Guys,
I need your help.
I’ve bought an old airplane (already discontinued) from Kyosho  - the SUKHOI 31 for .46 glow engines.
I intend to use my SAITO FG-14 on it.

Hi Guys,
I’ve crashed my plane yesterday and the ignition box of my SAITO FG21 was damaged (made by RCEXL).
My question is, can I replace this unit by a standard RCEXL ignition box or should I buy...

RE: Hangar 9 Warbird Elevator Reinforcement

Discard the H9 retracts. They will only give you headaches.
There are several after-market retracts, either mechanical or pneumatic, that will work much better in this plane.

RE: Hangar 9 Warbird Elevator Reinforcement

I have had a P-40 and a P-47 from Hangar 9. I had no problems with my P-40, but the P-47 broke the stab.I was lucky it happened on the ground, during an engine test.I was holding the plane with my...

RE: H9 60 Size P-47 Thunderbolt-Build & Flying

I used a SAITO 125 and kept the servos in the stock location. I still had to move the battery backwards to reach the correct CG.

RE: Saito FG-20 or 21

Hi guys, I’ll report my story with the FG-21.
After my previous (and positive) experience with the FG-14A, I decided to buy this engine to put on a ZLIN 50 (Seagull Models). The engine is an...

RE: Saito FG-20 or 21

The lubrication on four strokes model engines is poor. Worse in gas powered engines.
But every four stroke engine has a crankcase vent.
On glow engines we use it to inject after run oil after every...

RE: Saito FG-20 or 21

Darcy:
Dont you think it is dangerous to pressurize the gas tank?
Gasoline is much more flammable than methanol. Maybe if you put a flame arrestor in the line… For instance, a metal fuel filter...

RE: Saito - Pro FG 14 Tips and tricks only!!!

Captain2: I have had several dead sticks until I read in one of these threads, that the low speed needle of the FG14 and FG20 must be very rich. Once I did that, no more flame outs.

RE: KMP / YT FW-190 Build Thread

Per my calculations 3 in is too small and 4.5 in is too big. The correct scale spinner should be around 3.5in (90mm).
Any way, I also bought the SD spinner and will use it. The other alternative is...
