RE: best mods to fix rollovers on Smaxx?

Wow-I'll have to check out those axle extenders. A lower center of gravity plus the wider stance is the best solution! That's how racers set em' up.

RE: best mods to fix rollovers on Smaxx?

I added 4-wd & the blue stiffer springs to the outer shocks, but the biggest difference that helped the most was moving the shocks to the position that lowers the truck the most.

RE: Official Hobbyzone Aerobird 3 Thread

-Can the stock electronics of the AB3 handle an 8-cell 9.6V Nimh battery or how about a 9-cell 10.8V Nimh battery? What is the benefit of a 9-cell 10.8V, 1000mah battery if the stock 7-cell 8.4V is...

What's up with the antennae on the Corsairs Spektrum radio?

RE: Which warbird would YOU choose?

I've always read that the Spitfire has the easiest to fly handling characteristics.

RE: PZ spit as a trainer??

That's cool! Your either very lucky or he's an incredible first time pilot. I think my next plane's gonna be the PZ Spitfire for an aileron plane. I've got my Aerobird 3 down pretty good & I have...

-Very nice Swift, I haven't checked out this forum in a while. I've been on Wattflyer more often. Lemme know how she flies! I think you just turned a "Wildcat" into a "Hellcat"!!![X(]

RE: Aerobird 3 Q's on where to plug servis in board

I haven't seen the 480 motor in any of the hobbyzone parts lists? Where can you find it, order it from your lhs? I know you can order them off the T-Hawk site.

RE: Aerobird 3 Q's on where to plug servis in board

The original poster had said that he had an Aerobird 3. Thanks Swift, the AB3 is the most fun that I've had for $109! I moved the control settings to the closest hole on the horns to the control...

RE: Aerobird 3 Q's on where to plug servis in board

-Looking at my board, the 2 servos go on the 2nd & 3rd prongs up from the end where the white accesories plug hooks on. (sonic combat module) There is nothing on the first terminal.

RE: Official Hobbyzone Aerobird 3 Thread

-Is the Aerobird 3 considered a scale aircraft if you put a Luke Skywalker action figure next to it? It looks like it would be the right size for a human. I can just imagine this as a somewhat cheap,...

RE: Official Hobbyzone Aerobird 3 Thread

I had a great flying session today!!!, it actually stopped raining for a while & the sun came out. I picked up some 2" lite foam wheels for the landing gear & was ready to take the next step with ROG...

RE: My GP SE5a Maiden

That thing looks so real! Beautiful plane!!! The all-wood construction gives it a lot more realistic appearance than foam. Now you need the Fokker! Do the 4 ailerons make it a lot more responsive?

RE: Official Hobbyzone Aerobird 3 Thread

Thanks for the idea. I haven't even moved the control rods to the hole on the horn closest to the control surfaces yet! It already feels pretty responsive & must really be wild with your pro-tail...

RE: new to rc flying

-I would think that the parkzone J3 cub bl would be a better choice than the super cub. It has a brushless outrunner motor & a lipo battery. I had a hard time deciding between the Aerobird 3 & the...

RE: Official Hobbyzone Aerobird 3 Thread

I maidened my AB3 this morning & this thing flys like a dream! I went through the learning curve on a Skyfly & I don't mean any disrespect here, but this is a plane that will very easily "loop at...

I picked myself up an Aerobird 3 today & this thing is SWEET!!! My Skyfly was a PIG compared to this thing! This is a plane that will "loop at will". I couldn't get my Skyfly to loop to save my...

RE: Flyzone Sky Fly

Then again, the thing that bothers me about this aircraft, is the fact that it just doesn't look like an aircraft.

RE: Flyzone Sky Fly
