I checked another one of Isaac's threads, and it looks like it is usually a 10mm sheet balsa on each part + a smaller 2mm, then sanding to shape :)
Would this distance be ok as in picture...

Correct me if im wrong, but you considered selling the Byron F-16?
I was adviced the same and get at new f-16 that was ment for turbine, but no. I love this old timer.
