OS FS52 Crank Diameter, Anyone Know ?

Hi

Does anyone have an OS FS52 4 Stroke Engine that they could measure the crank nose diameter please ? I can get the thread from OS, it's a 1/4" 28, but what diameter is the plain portion after...

Im quite into the 1/18th scale but i dont know much on the madness... if i remember its quite a large motor compared to other 1/18th scale cars so that may remove the chance of running a mamba...

humm sounds like it might be worn out mate... the piston sounds like its lost its taper so as it heats up the piston and sleeve wont match up like there ment to so it will lose compression and...

Strange! its not the "melt-able" kinda sting normally.
But yes you can replace the string if the spring is O.K
Not sure if the model shop will have it (they will try and sell you a new pullstart...

You should be able to fix it really... the crank is hardend steel but the screw wont be so it should not be too hard :)

I recon it was a defective part! heads normaly strip before you can sheare off a screw!

i used to have a tamiya with a needle bearing that had a plastic cage that always melted to i replaced the bearing with 3 normal clutch bearings and it lasted forever!

hard to say really... runtimes can changed by anything from weather, surface, driving style. also the flow of fuel to the engine slows down as the tanks empty (ever heard of half tank leaning[:'(])...

WOW Dustin! Thats one HUGE tank[8D] do be carefull though mate that tank will weigh alot when its full... I can see your clutch going red in the face :)

how about a OS FS .52... in fact don't! i want to be the only one with a fourstroke cen!, and my .26 mt is no match to a great thumping .52 center diff armed cen [:o]:(
