I thought it might be that aileron stock has a shaped LE and TE stock doesn't but then why does Lone Star Balsa charge extra to get a shaped LE on their aileron stock?

That is what I thought too, but when you look at places like Lone Star Balsa they offer Aileron stock with and without shaped leading edges.
