Body options for FG Marder/Firehammer Buggy

We seem to have a much larger range for small scale RC (< 1/6 :D) in terms of body choices.

Are there optional aftermarket bodies that can be used on the Firehammer/Marder chassis other than...

RE: XTM Big Grizzly ???

Kagentry5000 - Will the alloy engine mounts from an FG MT5 fit directly on the Smartech/Carson/XTM MT chassis?

I seem to be encountering this problem when I move from grass surface to dirt.

Best - reliable oil content in fuel?

I can't believe I have been out of the large scale world for so long I have forgotten the oil:gas mixture!! To save embarassment I did a quick check and found 25:1 was to be the recommended ratio. I...

RE: Cleaning?

James,

Just apply a few sprays of the degreaser, wait 1min, hose it off and use strong dishwashing liquid to finally clean it out with the garden hose. Then you really need to dry it out with an...

RE: marder traveller firehamer etc

Simply store them as they are - all 4 wheels facing the ground to avoid flat spots (Monsters no need to lift them) and thats it. How do you store your weedwhacker? ;)

Is our hobby overpriced or what - lol

If a colleague of mine didn't bring up this topic I would probably never have known.

Considering some of us gladly spill U$2000+ on a hopped up large scale - it seems go-karts are easily...

RE: hi there I just brought home my new technokit eco rtr

The packs used in 1/8 buggies are of smaller size batteries than what is used in large scale RC. I don't recall the size used for nitro but for large scale, we use Sub-C cell batteries (used to power...

RE: newb Traveller questions :)

You can mount both cable or hydro rear brakes in these hole mounts. Usually people go straight to hydro as the stock fibre disk pads are fairly comparable to the rear cable disk brakes.

RE: Lithium?

It's been proven in on-road racing that 6V is the maximum safe voltage without prematurely burning out RC servos in the long run.

Are the batteries above Lithium Ion? The mAH rating seems...

RE: What filter for a smartech MT?

The best "affordable" filter would be the Firehammer air filters with the dual foam filters + aluminum housing. Hellya has tested this and I believe it works very well.

Another very good option...

Plaster of paris?

I'm thinking of tinkering with some sort of firm(ish) clay mould where I could depress it onto a hard object, i.e. fuel tank cap - create a negative 3D mould - let it dry - dip it in "liquid rubber"...

RE: small v8?

I was curious if it would be worthwhile for the big automakers (VW, BMW, Mercedes, etc.) to actually fabricate a real mini scale version of their supercars?

i.e. 1/4 scale SLR McClaren?

RE: Piston Clips?...

So do we actually need piston clips?

I noticed they are quite the pain to put on and usually not reusable while in the pullout process.
