RE: multi-engine plane

The plane is a Dornier DoX. There are 12 motors on it. In the May issue of Model Aviation, on page 22 is a picture of a model of it designed and built by Laddie Mikulasko. I'm sure there are 3...

RE: DAMAGE SHIPPING/MISSING PARTS ISSUES____Post here

On January 4 I received a Zlin Z-50 .46-.52 size. The manual included with the plane was for the 1.2 size. I've "Live Chatted" 3 times about this. The first time the person sent me a new manual. ...

RE: WHo's is better ASM or VQ

For me the VQ is more scale. It has the spoilers/small ailerons, just like the real plane, where the ASM I think has strip ailerons. The detail in the coveing on the VQ makes the plane look very...

RE: P82 Twin mustang electric conversion

Be carful of using one battery for each motor. Battery and motors are not exactly alike. By using one for each you risk a "flameout" because one battery is discharging faster than the other. I...

RE: YT B-25 MITCHELL

Try Vario Props. They can be viewed at www.eam.net. I have a P-61 which will be electric. Vario Props allowed me to have a 4 bladed scale prop (15" dia). With this prop you also can vary the...

RE: Westland Lysander Plans

Try www.darehobby.com. They have 7 and 9 cylinder radials, 2-5/8". 3-1/2", 4-1/2", ad 5-7/8" in diameter (not sure what one would be 1/5 scale. They also sell a front half only of the same radials...

RE: Missing A10 plan

Are you thinking about the Combat Models A10. It is set up for a .45-.50 pusher but can also be powered by twin .25 DF. Someone with some ingenuity can probably set up a turbine or better yet twin...

RE: onboard glow for Cessna 310, Saito 300

Try this web site http://sonictronics.com/xcart/customer/home.php. It is for McDaniels glow drivers. I have used their glow driver on a Supertigre G .90 without any problems. If you don't see...

RE: VQ P-61 CONTRUCTION

Awesome to see 5 Widows in one place. I was wondering whose pilots did you use?

RE: VQ P-61 CONTRUCTION

Since the beginning I've felt that I'd be putting the batteries up in the nose. My only concern, and I have to go over this with my electric guru, is will the battery be cooled in the nose. I...

RE: VQ P-61 CONTRUCTION

You probably know more than me about electrics. Dave has done all the work and I buy whatever he tells me to buy. I first thought one battery for each motor, but because of differences in cell...

RE: VQ P-61 CONTRUCTION

The motors are Mega Motors 41/30/15 brush-less outrunner (www.megamotorsusa.com). The props are Vario 381/12 scale optic blades with shaft collars and 48012 prop hubs. These props result in a 15" 4...

RE: VQ P-61 CONTRUCTION

One year later I get to start my Widow. I am doing electric power and it is kind expensive($1000). I think it will be a good investment as my flame outs and unequal thrusts will be diminished...

RE: Arizona Models Tiger Moth

I was not as lucky with my Arizona Tiger Moth. It did not make it past the maiden flight. The model is extremely well built and after painting became a beautiful model. I assume I did something...

RE: Westland Lysander Plans

I purchased a set of 100" (1/6 scale) plans from Bob Holmen in 2003. Of course I haven't done anything with them due to lack of money and time (not sure what I have less of). I plan to build in a...

RE: VQ P-61 CONTRUCTION

I too am going electric with my 61. Due to slow income I'm way behind in getting my plane in the air. Patience is a virtue. I am working with Dave Roberts at EAM Hobbies (www.eam.net). He has...

RE: VQ P-61 CONTRUCTION

I'm still thinking electric power so I'm saving my pennies for the power-plants. Do you know who makes 4 bladed spinners? A scale spinner would be 2" in diameter (based on my 1/48th scale model).

RE: VQ P-61 CONTRUCTION

16" props are right on scale. The real plane had 12' 4 bladed props.

RE: Real Flight Twin training

Try it with the P-38 if you have that update. It will go down quick. Also the DC-3 if pretty touchy with one engine out.
