RE: Rc Tools You Couldnt Live Without

Absolute best thing I have ever bought for tools was my Duratrax ultimate hex wrench set and second is a 60w soldering iron from Tower Hobbies. You must have these.

RE: brushless e-maxx setup?

I have the newer E-Maxx and use a Feigao 9xl and MambaMax ESC on 14 cells. Runs awsome and reliably. I use LST2 tires on dish wheels(aka, heavy) and it'll wheely on demand. Whole setup cost me $120...

RE: very disappointed

A good replacement is a MambaMax esc and an Ammo 36-56-2600 motor. Runs 5mph faster then stock and batteries last allot longer. If you want real speed you can get two for a cheap V-Twin

RE: Official Waterproofing Your RC Thread

Look like our answer is right here. I've heard that a cell phone can get coated for $50, so a ESC should be like $15.

RE: fwd Durga?

first thing is check your rearend to see if it good, then go to the driveshaft/belt and last is check where it's connected to the tranny.

Just use the process of elimination.

RE: Official E-Maxx Thread

It'll work with if you cut out all excess weight, use a two speed and gear it right. I think the one person that talks about his working good on one VXL used a 3906 and had one 3-cell LiPo, along...

What shocks do you have on your Maxx's?

What shocks do you all run if not the stock items. I've been looking at front 1/8 buggy shocks and TRX BigBores. Pics would be the best to explain what you have and how the mount up.

RE: Feigoa 7xl vs wanderer 10xl

You will be fine with the 7xl on 4s, the 10xl would run cooler but not as fast.

RE: can you use motor oil instead of shock oil?

If you use pure synthetic it should work but I'd limit the experiment to aluminum shocks to be safe.

RE: Whats the best basher shock setup for E-Maxx

I have popped 4 caps and bent 5 rods just last week. Normally I have no issues but the faster I go the more handling I need. I think I'm going to go with Ofna shocks for sure and start with just four...

RE: Whats the best basher shock setup for E-Maxx

I figure if you're going to spend that much it should be a better then stock setup and BigBores are just stock shocks that are aluminum. Don't get me wrong they might do fine but I like to do things...
