RE: Rudder rehingeing

Ernie,

Sorry, been away for a while. I've flown all of them but never really owned the 25 or the 65. Right now i have an old 40 ARF and have been flying the Primo a lot! Great birds no matter...

RE: Rudder rehingeing

I think he was refering to "folding" it in from the perspective that other hinges were already in the rudder and hinging one side then the other was not an option because of this. When I have had to...

RE: OMP Edge tank zip ties keep breaking

Second that of Thumbskull. Dump the zip ties and get a couple of screw in hooks. Use the rubber bands and your problem will be solved. You could also use some piano wire and make your own hooks.

RE: Pro Yak V3 - which servo's, where?

According to the specs http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXUK84 you should be fine. 44 oz/in on 4.8 and 57 oz/in on 6V. I'd run 6 FWIW. The Naro might be a stretch on the 82, but...

RE: Pro Yak V3 - which servo's, where?

Keep the 5645's for something bigger. The 821's will do well all the way around if you get two more. OR, put the 821's in the tail and pick up two more standard servo's for the ailerons.

RE: EF Chinn Yak

Looks really good!

Nothing wrong with that Kat V2 either. Just a little fragile. If you are still thinking about the Mojo, I would highly recommend it. The tube in the fuse really helps with...

RE: EF Chinn Yak

There WHAT is? I don't think he said anything about the CY not being a "Real 3D Plane" did he? I can tell you that we are told that profiles ARE NOT real planes all the time though....."Because a...

RE: EF Chinn Yak

Can't believe I'm actually going to participate in this conversation:D OHNOUCDAT, it seems that your potential "closemindedness" will have a negative impact on your profile experience. Whatever it...

RE: OMP at Toledo....

Found it! It's on F G. Just search 2009 Toledo and then you will find the AJ thread. It's in some of the picture dump. Hope this helps.

RE: Which .40 profile does the best harrier?

The Primo - Also from Swanys House - also "locks in" in all high alpha flight. Just my opinion, but I think it's because of the slightly longer tail. It sort of "anchors" it down. Either the Mojo...

RE: 47" Edge V3 New Batch!!!

Xoar - 13 x 4

APC - 13 x 4W

APC - 13 x 4

I like the Xoar the best, but they break easy. Get one of the APC's and you should be fine.

RE: Help sheeting a Fusion fuse.

The last scratch project I did I used the white GG. It dries pretty fast, but there is still plenty of time to do both pieces of sheeting. I bring this up, because even though mine was a 40 size, I...

RE: Help sheeting a Fusion fuse.

Just one other thing........Make sure your table (if that is what you use) can support that kind of weight before-hand. You don't want to "manufacture" a bow into the fuse. Don't let the GG...

LOL, that's why I put the :D in there. Really, it will be no problem. When the inevitable dorking happens, you'll have a chance to add them. Just build each section on the plans and attach. You...

RE: Whats A Good Starter Profile Plane

If you do a search on the plane you mentioned, you will find little information on it. There is a reason for this.

Get in touch with Swany to see if he has any ARF's. If not, I would recommend...

RE: OMP HYBRID WING

Looks to me like a root rib issue which would have compounded going out. Phenolic goes in slightly off. Slide it on the wing tube and you have crooked wing. Not sure of the best method to fix...
