this is a good model...i built one last year and she flys wonderfully...the cg is at the spar so you have to relocate the mains rearward...this will eliminate a lot of the weight up front up to keep...

thanks rick...i've read about the red wire cutting in a parallel setup in a few other threads...the theory was if you didn't, the rx would receive voltage from 2 becs...but how can it?...voltage will...

plug one of the flap servos into your flap or aux channel...plug the other flap servo into a spare channel, reverse it on the tx and then slave it to the flap channel...

those lipo packs will hold voltage and discharge current better than the stock nimh pack...you should see a slight increase in performance and flight times...

packs have a continuous discharge...

aetc,

on your elevator servo, consider switching the servo arm to the other side...the push rod will bind less as it exits the fuse...

frank,

as long as your lipos can supply 20 amps, they'll work...just make sure you rebalance her especially with the smaller capacity packs...

adisn,

the typhoon motor is a 2040 size high kv (3500-4000) motor...it will run hot in the stock gearbox turning the stock prop...you will risk burning out the motor, esc and overdischarging...

low wing warbirds, especially the fighters, are meant to be inherently unstable to some degree...this is what gives them their aerobatic capabilities...if you add dihedral to the wings, she won't...

with the lipo, you should see a slight performance increase as well as slightly longer flight times...guessing she'll probably go 40-45 mph...
