There are some cool looking 4 and 5 blade heads on Banggood for around 150. They are for the align 500 size heli ( that's a cheap base model on these sites) and you could run blades from like 200 mm...

The SBUS on the RX would be an output for an FC, I've seen a little board the converts SBUS out into PPM (standard channels) on Ali for like 10 bucks.

I would say no way, those tail blades will not track right and setup quite the vibration. I have bent the tail yoke (spindle shaft) and it had a crazy high freq vibration that freaked the gyro out.

I actually just finished cleaning and lubing up the LMH 120, its converted to all aluminum and carbon with a brushless motor. The little thing is still super fun after all these years.

You bet, the bearings in the tail boom sure make it nice and smooth thay cut out a lot of friction and you dont have to mess with them with lube and stuff ever again.

Check the battery under load to make sure it is not droping a cell, if thats not it then its the speed control, one or more of the transistors is bad.

When i still flew my 110 i used to bend the ties where thay go around the tank so thay had sharp bends in then and then just bearly tighten them with a piece of foam behind to stop the fuel from...

Use the Elf Hobby brushless motor and 30 amp speed control, $30 or $40 bucks from ehirobo or just about anybody on ebay. Cheep and it works great!!

The stock set up will fly it OK if you set it...
