I now own a (V1?) Cermark ViperJet - Questions.

So I picked up an orphaned ViperJet that I think is the first version. Composite fuse built up one piece wing, built up vertical and horizontal stabs. Opaque canopy. It's rough but I thought it would...

RE: Handwriting on the wall?

Dave - I really wasn't saying glow engines aren't welcome in the hobby. I was just trying to say that the alternatives have a lot of benefits that one might not see until they try them out. Change is...

RE: Handwriting on the wall?

I'm sorry that I don't lament the eventual loss of glow. I flew glow engines when I first started flying. If you fly a lot - like I do, the cost of glow fuel, and how much flight time you get per...

RE: Giant Model Products Introduces a 50cc GeeBee R3 ARF

I saw you had the 30cc and 50cc struts in. Any idea when the 100cc will be available?

RE: Joe Nall Incident

You're missing the point I think. What I am trying say (and others I think too), that we take a chance every time we take off. Something might fail, something might go wrong either by a mistake of my...

RE: Joe Nall Incident

Imagine if lawyers got involved in hobbies like ours. It would be the end.

It was said well many different ways. If your friend wasn't comfortable, he should have given himself more space. I do...

Looks like a SCRATCH build to me.

Waiting on the build thread - tap - tap - tap :D (couldn't find the friggin popcorn smiley)

RE: HK GeeBee 1.20 Questions

Chuck - good info thanks. This one is different in how it goes together and slightly bigger - 71" span vs 68".

Bundu - I've flown the one on my sim Aerofly and it flies fine, but landing is NOT...

RE: So what would you do in this situation?????

My $.02:

1. The man in the straw hat screwed up. It seems he had adequate time to at least kill the engine even if the the crosswind was too strong to taxi in. And the first words should have...

RE: HobbyKing Paraglider Parafoil for RC Skydiver Questions

Skoda450 - That sounds awesome! I don't mind if it's a static jumper - was planning on doing that. Thanks for the tips. Can you post pics here for me? That would be really helpful. Also how much does...

RE: Aerofly Pro Deluxe and JR 11x Problems

OK - I put it back to Master mode and same problem. I attached a pic of the wire setup.

I don't know how to put it in PPM mode. I looked through the manual for the 11X and it was no help either....

Aerofly Pro Deluxe and JR 11x Problems

The software does not recognize the tx "Aerofly pro has located the USB interface cable,...

RE: HobbyKing Paraglider Parafoil for RC Skydiver Questions

OK. Sound like sage advice. I've been flying rc for about 3 years and giant scale lately. But it seems the whole AoA is a critical issue and one that requires experience or experimentation. I think I...

HobbyKing Paraglider Parafoil for RC Skydiver Questions

I purchased the HobbyKing parafoil which is 2.15 meters (85") which seems big I guess. It was cheap and I wasn't sure what to do with it, but am thinking about using it for an RC Skydiver.

RE: Giant Model Products 100cc Geebee R3 racer build

I'm going to get one of these. Can anybody tell me the width of the cowl inside? I could either run a DLE111 or thinking about a 3W-150 (and a high pitch prop). The 3W is 12-7/8" cap to cap.

25mm Wing Tube? Where can I get one?

I have a KMP Beaver that I bent the Aluminum wing tube - don't ask!

It has a 25mm OD (no a 1" tube is too thick). I can find 25mm carbon tubes in the US ($44 to my door), but Aluminum tubes in...

RE: Giant Model Products Introduces a 50cc GeeBee R3 ARF

Brusshorton - Beautiful job on it. I can't tell from the pic, how much space is left below the cylinder head? I have a DA85 that might fit - the cylinder/plug would hang about 1 inch lower than a...

RE: How many Jet Jocks are considering dumping 2.4 and going back to 72mhz?

My $.02...

I switched from Futaba 2.4 to JR 2.4 early this year mainly because I wanted the Model Match feature. On my 35% Aeroworks YAK, I have encountered two problems (JR 11X, JR921Rx with 2...
