As I was reading I knew the temps weren't hot enough for break in on the first 5 to 6 tanks..them should be about 225 degrees.

Did you try stopping engine by flywheel on the underside of truck with a screwdriver handle?? Some people just have a glove on and use there hand..that's gonna tell if collet or flywheel is slipping...

The lsn actually controls idle until about 1/4 throttle..if you running hot at idle one of two things and both were mentioned..first if engines is worn out it want go to 300 degrees it will shut off...

1) by leaning the hsn that much on that 2.5 your running way to lean..
2) tighten the slipper and your sure to replace tranny gears...
