Flight Models F043 Decathlon 96" WS question

I'm putting together a 96 inch WS ARF Decathlon from Flight-Models. I don't have instructions, actually not sure if it had any and I'm not worried since it's not that complicated of a model. But I...

RE: Eneloop Batteries - Charging

I have a couple of JR retract servos in my Jug that will not operate off of the A123 battery I have on board unless there is voltage reduction. I think they are jr 791s. I put a couple of inline...

RE: Do you think the FAA should be sticking its nose into our hobby?

The poll isn't written well. Too many of the options are saying the same thing. It should just be a simple Yes, No or Don't know.

I watched the 6 part talk. This is typical GVT getting...

RE: ESM LA-7 From VQ Warbirds

Hey, can anyone give me a real numerical location of the CG on this one? I tried flying mine with the CG at 168mm back from the leading edge. It was crazy tail heavy, and I was lucky to get the...

RE: Futaba 12 FG Dummies Guide

Wow.... glad I found this thread!!! And saw the video mentioned on the first page of it. I never understood the 100% travel and 135% limits for end point programming. The manual is terrible at...

RE: Response to the upcoming FAA SUAS regulation

You ever wonder if they have over regulated General Aviation so much that it is in massive decline, that now they need to expand into unmanned aviation just to have something else to regulate the...

RE: What DON'T you like about your Tx?

I hate it when I crash and the airbag deploys!!!! :D

I like my Evo too, but I hate the way it was orphaned in the US market, and that despite upgrades to the firmware, they never did get the...

RE: ESM LA-7 From VQ Warbirds

Thanks Ty,

I was able to make my mistake work. It will take a little bit of hole filling with a couple little pieces of Flightskin, but will work and look fine. Good thing it is on the bottom...

RE: ESM LA-7 From VQ Warbirds

I just messed up the right wing wheel well liner trimmed it too close to the opening. I can probably repair the gaps with ply or flightskin, but would really like to have a second shot with a new...

RE: ESM LA-7 maiden

You are correct, I was referring to manufacturing a hard point and not say... a repair patch. I like the West Systems, use it to make all of my parts as needed.

RE: ESM LA-7 maiden

I have never found this to be true. Epoxy will set up on polyester resin parts alright, but if they have any kind of force or leverage, they cleanly pop right off. A good example are brackets...

RE: ESM LA-7 From VQ Warbirds

I will when it gets here... It just left your state yesterday. :) But I saw some pictures from UK Warbird Guy on this site of his and it appears to have the Evo GT in it's cowl. I don't know if...

RE: ESM LA-7 From VQ Warbirds

I'm going to stick an EVO 35 on mine and will cut a hole underneath on the cowl if the engine needs to stick out. You are going to need to cut a hole in it anyway, it looks like the cowl forms right...

RE: ESM LA-7 From VQ Warbirds

So has anyone flown this plane yet? I have one on the way, and have read about engine choice, gear modifications, weathering, electrifying, but no flight performances. Is this one so new that...

RE: Gibbs Ziroli 94

If you have the servos face the same direction in the wing, you can use standard y harnesses. Why don't you sell the metal mill you will never use and get a decent 9+ channel radio.

On even a...

I'm trying to figure out what we do building that causes Carpel tunnel. Each step is so different there really isn't a repetitive series of anything. How did your doctor pinpoint it to your hobby?...

RE: Do NiMh need to be

Ed, You will find that during the first 3-5 cycles of the NiMh, most likely the capacity will be lower than the advertised amount, thus the forming process. In my experience, NiMH batteries are more...

RE: Accu-cycle plus will not charge fully

Boy that doesn't sound right at all. 4.9V on a pack that is supposed to be done is weak. Almost like one of the cells is dead, or reversed.

RE: ParkZone 2-3 Lipo Charger question

RE: ParkZone 2-3 Lipo Charger question

I am charging both around 1.75 amp. Not 1C, but close. I have a Spectra 4 charger that has a Lipo program, would I be better off to use it, or is there a balancer I can use in concert with the...

I have the Parkzone F4U... really fun plane. I have the 1800mah 3 cell lipo that came with it, and an e-flite 2100 3 cell. Each battery has been cycled via using it, 8 times now. At first when I...
