Thanks for the reply. I will look more closely as I go through the settings. I did notice that command when I change models. The manual showed the command of "end", "end" for some edits. The guy in...

RE: Deployed flaps plane stalled and crashed

Hey A70, sorry for your loss. I've had some similar experience with flaps but not as disappointing as yours. A couple of 60 size warbirds and a Piper Pawnee. But they didn't have the size of flaps...

RE: Flap Problem

The servo reversing Y harness is a simple and economical solution, less than $20 from Tower Hobbies. I used one on my first aerobatic plane with two elevator servos.

RE: What would you do if... ?

As long as there are humans involved in anything, there's going to be conflict. We have a very small club, about 40 members and there are a couple guys that if they are at the field or a meeting at...

RE: How Did You Learn To Fly R/C

There was a bunch of us kids in the late 50s that flew u control which consisted of flying wings and profile planes. They were easy to build and then fly and crash. Then I got into contest free...

RE: BEST 50cc CHINA ENGINE RIGHT NOW??

Years ago when I was a kid working in a auto parts store with an engine machine shop in the back, I was told by one of the best machinist (in our area) that the worst thing you could do to any...

RE: ARF Pros in the Tank?

Just wanted to post that resolution is resolved. But I'm not sure what got the ball rolling. I did get a email response, after sending them two. Anyway, they cancelled my order and issued a credit to...

RE: ARF Pros in the Tank?

Thanks JWN. I have checked with my credit card company and the charge is on my account. The problem I see brewing is that ARF Pros went to PayPal which deposits the money quickly and then passes the...

ARF Pros in the Tank?

I think I just got scamed. I was deciding whether or not to order the Gen II Electric Retracts for the 74" Corsair from ARF Pros. I checked their website and the item was noted "Out of Stock" so I...

RE: Piper Pawnee 40 Tail Wheel Recommendations from other modelers with Included Photos

It was definitely designed for good stable flight under heavy loads which makes the model a great Sunday flyer. When the nerves get frazzled, fly the Pawnee..................

RE: Piper Pawnee 40 Tail Wheel Recommendations from other modelers with Included Photos

Seems a shame that Hanger didn't put better quality gear on such a nice plane. I've always wondered about the tiny tail wheel but mine has held up so far. We fly off of a paved runway so that is the...

RE: ESM 74 Corsair engine choice

Aghost.......thanks for the maiden flight tip. I had decided not to retract the gear (just in case) but the short flight to keep the fuel tank fuller is a good idea as well. We had a guy in our club...

RE: ESM 74 Corsair engine choice

Boy, a picture does say a thousand words. I guess I missed the cowl ring tip. What a pain messing with that thing. I guess it's a good idea to hide the mounting screws but when you use gas engines,...

RE: ESM 74 Corsair engine choice

OK guys, I thought I was ready for a maiden flight but weather (wind) has that on hold. But I was prusing Troy Built Models the other night and came across a warning on C.G. that they have posted on...

RE: What plane do i start with?

You got some good advice on a starter electric/foam plane. I would only caution you on lofting a GoPro camera in the air as a fairly new R.C. pilot. Couple of guys in our club have used a little and...

RE: ESM 74 Corsair engine choice

Hey thanks guys. I'm trying to go at this with thought and preparation. Currently, I'm at factory recommended 130mm C.G. but I am changing the ignition battery to six volt so it will add a tad bit...

RE: ESM 74 Corsair engine choice

As I go through the process of the initial flight of my Corsair, I have another question for the group. I took my out to our field yesterday even though the forecast was for "breezy". Breezy turned...

RE: ESM 74 Corsair engine choice

RE: ESM 74 Corsair engine choice

You're going to gain significantly on the C.G. balancing issue. I'm not sure what the difference is between the 30cc and the 55cc but it will help lessen the amount of ballast needed to balance....

RE: ESM 74 Corsair engine choice

Can't complain much about our weather this winter. Mild temps and many windless days and no snow on our field. I think I've only missed three weeks since the first of December of flying once a week....

RE: ESM 74 Corsair engine choice

Thanks for the info Brian. I feel better. Another question about heavier planes, do you notice a difference when you fly your plane in hot weather when the air is much thinner than this time of year?

RE: ESM 74 Corsair engine choice

OK, the weather has turned really bad for what looks like the next five to seven days so I'm sitting here "thinking". Maybe that's bad but I weighed my Corsair today for the first time. 18 lbs....
