Yeah...somebody posted a big picture of a Typhoon...now who was that? Or how about a Tempest?

Personally, I would prefer the 60-1.00 size whatever it ends up being [8D]

The Dewotine 520 (it is the 520 that's the cool looking one, right? ) would be awesome...

And I forgot to say...thanks for asking Mike [8D]

Ditto on a .60 - 1.00 sized Typhoon or Tempest [sm=thumbup.gif]

I also like the Typhoon/Tempest idea...having already built another Hawker aircraft...and my mouth waters at the idea of something
like a Macchi or Yak...although H9 is not moving in that direction,....I'll gladly scratchbuild those!!

Yessss GO SEAHAWKS!!!

That would be a nice bird! Here's another vote for it too - in the .60 to 1.00 size, of course.

Has the Hawker Hurricane been nominated yet?

If not, it's another plane that is well worth considering. With retracts and flaps, please.

Since KMP did a Hurri and it turned out nice, a 60 size would be a repeat.

But a Hanger 9 1.50/ 50cc Hurri would be most welcome. I'd buy two !

Ok, Ok I'll bite on the trolling! [sm=drowning.gif]
----- I'd buy, and I do buy, in the .60-1.00 size, but never the bigger size. (said again just for clarities sake) KaChing!!

And then I spite the hook out![sm=bananahead.gif]

And now back to ...... [sm=spinnyeyes.gif]

I still think an flap update of the current Corsair would be a huge success.
Now 'THAT' I would be buying at least two of. Just like I have two Stearmans now - and plan on getting a third! Also bought the GP P-6E Hawk. Another in the .60-1.00 size range.

Hanger 9 - do you see a trend here on where my money is going and what I'm spending it on and what I would be buying?[sm=greedy.gif]

Another candidate - a Bucker Jungmeister. One of Germanys pre-war 'trainers'. In .60-1.00 size, of course.

I don't care what anybody does except please, please, PLEASE someone disable the [8D][&:][>:][X(][:@][:'(][][:-][&o] thingies on Ramon's computer!

That said, give me anything (think P-26 Peashooter, F11C2 Goshawk, Beech Staggerwing) in the 50cc range and that's where I'll spend my $. Pretty much anything with a round engine please.

Thanks for asking Mike.

A big challenge is a DO-335 designed for both glow and electric. Matt covering would be a big difference with competitors.

BEAUFIGHTER!!!!

93" like the Traplet plans. There is a laser kit available out of France but it is the only one I can find anywhere. There are plenty of Mosquito kits and other warbirds, but there is a distinct lack of Beaufighters anywhere.

Dave

By the way Mike, Hangar 9 need to start leading the way and glueing their ARFs better. The Corsair has received a fair bit of criticism and I am in the process of stripping and re-glueing mine at the moment.

Dave,

I suggested the Beau to the guys at KMP/YT as it seems they're really into doing more of the unusual birds, wouldn't that just be the cat's whiskers if there was a beaufighter available ? With the short nose it would have to be a gasser, twin G-26's would be perfect.

Since an ARF company's main goal is to maximize profit, you got to ask yourself a simple question: "Would plane X bring in as much profit as plane Y or plane Z?"

And sometimes you gotta throw caution to the wind, grow some brass balls and just make a statement [:-] I'll bet there are plenty of Brits and Aussies (And some Yanks) who would love to tuck a Beaufighter into their Hanger without all the hassle of scratchbuilding one from a kit.

Always two sides to the coin....

Cheers,

Anything Russian!
Someone name one decent Russian ARF on the market.

Yak, Lagg, La-5, La-7, I-15, I-16, Mig-3 Any will do nicely!

Next british:

Hurricane, Typhoon, Whirlwind

American:
Haven't they all been done?

German:
Am I the only one who doesn't care for Nazi's?

Italian:
Macchi MC200, or 202

Jap:
Ki-43 would be unique for sure.

Nice selection Yee-ha.....though the Jerry planes do have their appeal, especially in the camo department, but a monokoted german fighter is kinda ugly.

Maybe a German fighter in a desert scheme might work with Ultracote..

BF109's were also flown by the Swiss and Russians. So there are other Alternative schemes for the 109 other than
the German camo...

The market is ripe for just about any warbird that is truely unique. How many Mustangs and Corsairs do we need? Russian, Russian, Russian!

A 60size Yak 9 would be real sweet, I'm thinking of an electric conversion down the road and that would be perfect. Though my first choice of a Dauntless or Helldiver would what I'm looking for.

This hobby is just out of control, waaaaayyy too many planes to build, buy or assemble....[sm=spinnyeyes.gif]

Hey Mike - Still with us or have you got the information to support a plane already in the makes ?

My vote

Dauntless Dauntless Dauntless Dauntless in the 1.50 range. Oh, and did I say that a Dauntless would be a good choice. The Skyshark is too small.

Well, after looking at this thread I would pull the following out as good contenders (In no particular order);

Stuka
Hurricane
La-5
TBM Avenger (working torpedo doors of course)
Hellcat
FW-190A-4 (You could add fiberglass gun cover for those wanting to convert to the A-8)

I would prefer matt finish and at least 80" span to make small gas engines viable (hmmm...who was it that was carrying the Evolution engines?).
