Yea your gonna need to up grade the shocks major! Really high wieght oil and the stiffest springs out there and I doudt that will even do the trick. Then all this added weights gonna make i heavy and hard to control around corners and the jumps will be extremly bad... When I had my full aluminum mini t:

When I used to junp that it only went about 1/2 the distance it did when it was plastic wuth bl..

I'm getting out of 1/10 for a while and I plan on getting my Mini-T and a new Vendetta ST. People running BL are you having problems stripping your rims. When I ran my Baja and Elite 1500 I broke the inside of the rim where the pin went?

I've never had a problem with that and I run 2s and 3s LiPo's and a Mamba 8000Kv brushless system .

I had that happen once with my 6800kv the pin in the inside of the rim stripped, but thats because I had a locked diff, I then went to a ball diff and never had a problem at all

Can anyone tell me the difference between the mini t and mini baja? I just one a mini baja off of ebay and all I can find is that it has bearing and the esc and reciever are seperate. are there any other differences because thats not really worth the extra 50 they get in stores.

Also what upgrades should be made first? Im ordering 2 sidewinders esc's with a 6800kv motor. ( I have 2 4200kv motors from when CC website had them for 20 so Ill prob put one in the baja first)

thanks

its deff worth the extra 50 dollars, the orignal mini-t its has an esc /reciever in one, no bearings and a junk radio, with the baja when you do go brushless you can use the reciever and same radio, and it comes with bearings, deff is worth the extra 50

The Mini-Baja has oil shocks stock but lots of them aren't that good. I would get:
Losi Racing Oil Shocks
MIP Ball Diff
Bulkhead Brace
Elite 1500 or Li-Po/A123

Deftones123 could you post some pictures of the A123 pack in your Mini-T. How does it fit?

the a123 pack is alittle big, and by that I mean its alittle thick, it raises the battery hold down alittle, but other then that its fine

I try to avoid UPS because most of the time I get my packages the shipping box is damaged and they don't make me sign for it even when it was a 350+ package.

The only difference you can tell w/o the tranny being open in the color of the outdrives. With a MIP ball diff there black.

I have a heat issue with my Mini-Baja. I'm using a Reedy Mini Mod 17 turn motor on a stock ESC, an IB 1400 and dirt hawgs. I am running an 12 tooth pinion. I was going to use my lowest, 11 tooth, but it was an Ebay buy and it has a set screw stripped inside it. I don't think 1 tooth would be good enough maybe 2 and a bigger spur, and the spur is stock. Should I get a heat sink motor plate or try getting a bigger spur and/or a smaller pinion?

Also as i was running it today and jumping it my right front turnbuckle kept coming off is this a problem with the mini-t's in general or is it special to mine. thanks for the help in advance cause I'm sure i'l have millions of more questions.

When you are reinstalling the trunbuckle press them with some pliers. If that doesn't work then replace the rod end.

For Ni-Mh I would get an Elite 1500 pack from www.cheapbatterypacks.com or a 1600 pack from www.maxamps.com. As for Li-Po you would have to ask someone else.
