RE: Unofficial Track Thread
Well, I tore my track up(literally, not figuratively) a few days ago. There's pics of it earlier in the thread. My dad decided that we were going to plant pumpkins in the garden this year instead. pretty ridiculous, huh? An RC track provides way more fun than pumpkins. All you can do is carve them, and make the worst flavor of pie. Rhubarb already sprouted in the middle of the track anyway.

Here they are, It was supposed to be over 100 degrees outside today. I can put puddles on the track and they dry up instantly so I am restricted to night racing. The large floodlight we had burned out do to weather. We just got three $5 65wt clip on lights at home depot and they light up the track very well without many shadows.
The track goes clockwise. The jumps in the front are more like bumps buy we can jump a few of them. I can do a double, single, double and single the rest. I've been killing my dads 18b with my mini-t.

Yea it's tight all I can do is a oval with a little kink in it but it's inside so I can still drive in the rain and thats the point of this track. I make a track in my front yard my laying out a few ramps and just finding a cool one that uses all or most of them.

You can get some grass killer kill the grass then get a tiller or you could just dig up the grass. I reccomend the tiler tho, i think it is drainage pipe they are using.

hey gex how often do you change the track layout? they all look great by the way
I need some ideas of what to put around my track as a barrier for the cars.

The black pipe around my track is corrugated(because of the ridges) drainage pipe. You can find it at a hardware store. You can use all kinds of things: dirt, garden hose, wood. If it's done right you can make it look nice.
I havn't had luck with weed killers and stuff for killing grass. I dug all mine out and kept an eye on it. If you continue to do track maintenance, eventually you wont have to do it as often. I use a hula-ho for mine. None of my dirt was hauled in, just strategically repositioned.

Go for the vendetta of the rc18b both buggys and can handle a beating plus they are 4wd. Thats what i would reccomend along with most of the people on this forum.

I know I'm asking a lot of questions and it's because I'm working on this huge 100' x 60' track for my nitro buggy (thinkin' about gettin' a losi mini-t or somthin' of the sort) and i want it to be the best it can be. Once it's done I'll get you some pictures.

I'm racing in the expert truck class at the Haven. As soon as the mini-slider comes out, I will get the stuff to convert mine into a late model. That's all I have planned right now.
I also wanted to ask you if you knew where to get those metal disks they use at the track. I want a few for my backyard.
