RE: Unofficial Track Thread
thats what i was talking about....race on one of our backyard tracks. You are racing expert truck class for oval or off road?
The metal disks are from older plows that are really worn down. go to someone that has farm equiptment and ask if they have any that you can have

ok, before anyone says anything about how old this thread is
I KNOW!
but i was browsing through it and saw this track & thought: "OMG I've raced this track a thousand times!"
it's the same layout as one of the tracks from the old Ironman Ivan Stewart video game
man, that game ate ALL my quarters for like three years

RE: Unofficial Track Thread
Nice track.. I'm going to start on ours this weekend.
What are the outside dimensions of this? Just wondering how much to destroy with the rototiller?

ob1n - No problem. I like having them all on one thread so you can go through and look at them. You have the link on here, that's the next best thing.
Here is my new layout. I got my mini-t about as clean as it's ever been and set it up for the track again. It looked so pretty for about 20 minutes, lol. I also replaced all of the screws that were involved in my encounter with the rogue wave, lol. I am dissapointed with how the pics came out though, you would really have to see it in person along with the before pics to appreciate it. I ran on the track once and my motor got pretty hot. It took me a while but I think the problem is a few bad transmition bearings. The ones on the slipper are messed up.
We are also extending out patio a little bit and putting a shade up so I'll be getting 2 to 3 loads of dirt, hmmm..... What could I possibly use that for?

RE: My backyard tri-oval
My track?
Width is 22 feet. 4 lanes across.
Length is 35 feet. about 6-7 lanes.
Average lane width of about 5 1/2 feet. For short slow sections (180* turns), 4ft wide is plenty. For long fast sections (straights), I might go 6ft wide.

Going to be building a track for the micro truggy in the basement of our new house. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pn8pEF5OpyI that is a vid of just some bashing. Here is some testing of the step up jump. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A56S9lslqh0 Here is a video of how i am going to make the wallride https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tA-GXubZAIM Enjoy and more to come. Outta Edit: The first 2 pictures are what i had to start working with as far as space goes. The 3rd is the step-up jump i am going to use. Last is the end of the basement that will be similar to how i have it mocked up.
