I don't think I have a pic showing that specifically. However, there are some pics that will help at Matchlessaero's page:

http://www.geocities.com/matchlessaero/halfwit.html

If you look down towards the bottom you'll see a red HW with the fuel tank mounted on the side behind the engine. Now just figure that you can place the battery on the other side of the fuse basically across from the tank.

As far as covering, go ahead and cover everything. I did the same thing, then cut a square out on the bottom of the wing for mounting the servos and radio gear after the plane was built. Then I just patched the holes with a piece of covering.

i finally got this darn plane covered. I also did a little bit of a mod to it. I put a piece of hard wood stick on the nose to make it a electric plane because i all ready have the eletric motor for it. The motor is himax ha2025. Well heres the pics and the only thing not on it is the rudder

3 1/2" back from the leading edge of the wing should work. Start out with moderate control throws, maybe 3/4" up and down on ailerons and maybe 1" up and down on the elevator, rudder also 1". This will give you control but keep it fairly tame fo the maiden. With cranked up throws this plane will flop all over.
