IMHO I have used CA hinges in the same way for gliders. They are stiff and really put your micro and mini servos to the test. Be me I'd take that slick laminate idea of yours and wiggle in some sanded down paper thin dubro's or do a monocote/skin hinge.
Pardon me but 2 knuckleheads are under foot while I write and it's bedtime for them. Catch ya later.
