Yes, I have goals in the hobby as well, I think direction is important and I realize I'm not going to fly a Turbine next week or next year. It will take me some years into the hobby, (I'm actually trying to tell a person not to fly a turbine plane without some experience first check it out: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_19..._3/key_/tm.htm ) I try to collect as much information on the subject as I can and I will continue to do so. When I make an attempt on turbines I will be well informed.
To fly a turbine and be covered by the AMA insurance you must obtain a turbine waiver. If you do not have one and cause an accident while flying a turbine, you will not be covered. Further you could be subject to civil or criminal penalties. Tell that to your friend.
