How do you replace the GWS gearbox shaft?
I bent the shaft on my GWS gearbox.
I can not figure out how to get the shaft out of the gearbox to replace it.
Thanks,
Dean

Before removing the gear from the shaft it is wise to measure the installed height. Take a reading from the rear of the shaft to the front of the hub. I have replaced a few myself, using IPS shafts (in a pinch) in a EPS drive with no problems. Make sure the "float" of the shaft stays within the motor pinion. Try to set up the float as tight as possible without binding the shaft. I set mine up to 0.005" to 0.008" This is a good time to wash out the bearing and lube them with 3 in 1 oil. Hope this helps and good luck.

I remove the c-clip, and the gear. The shaft and the two ball bearings are still in the housing.
Do you pull the shaft through the front and push the shaft through the back?
The bearings do not want to come off the shaft. With the bearings on the shaft it is not coming out of the housing.

THe shaft comes out the front sometimes there is a little burr where the e clip grove is that you need to lightly sand then it should pull right out.
