e-flite cap 232 bp
Does anybody have the E-flite Cap 232 bp plane and or flown it yet? It looks to have some nice features. I'm working on 3d flight and I'm interested in purchasing this plane. Can anyone tell how it flies overall and through the 3d moves as well? Any feedback would be great, so would any pics and video, or any reveiws that may be floating around out there.
Thanks, Kris

Mine is on order at my LHS, hope to get it soon. I had the Cermark Lil Banchee which was same built, and it flew great. Love the hack out of this thing.

Perkinsm I have a ideal. Get both and compare them both and let us know. All joking aside, the one from E-flite has more wing area than the one from precision. Just looked up. The E-Flite is 1 ounce more than the one from precision. I think the E-Flite cap will turn out to be a better overrall flyer.

Guys there is also the Lil Banchee by Cermark. Here link to the page http://www.cermark.com/Merchant2/mer...egory_Code=AAA or go to www.cermark.com and look it up. It cost less than both the E-Flite cap and Precision Aerobatics Electric Shock. You can get the plane by itself for 59.00 or the hover package for 95.00. I have one and it's an excellent fun 3d flyer. I power mine with a E-Flite 450 which is excellent setup for the plane. I can compare it to the E-flite cap cas I don't have mine yet, but I will as soon as mine come in.
The one thing I like about the cermark lil banchee is where the battery is place which is under the plane. There made a little tray so you a can adjust the CG according to your battery pack and your type of flying. I think I will creat one on the e-flite cap once I get mine it.

PAT - good information. I'll have to decide on what I'm going to get.
I'm looking for something to fly when its too windy to fly my foamy.
I tried a mini Katanna from Atlanta Hobbies, nice flying plane but didn't like it much for 3D. Also have a Yak from Ultra-r/c, and I kinda like it. I'm just looking for something better.
The Mini Katanna airframe is for sale too, if anyone is interested. About 10 flights on it

Have you guys seen the Accel Hobbies Cap 35 ES:
http://www.billyhellrc.com/capE.html
Mine is very good at everything. One thing I love about this plane is it won't drop the tail in inverted harriers. I need practice on those, and this plane really helps. Also, it's unbelievably durable! There is generous carbon reinforcement built into the fuselage. I've dorked it so many times nose down and cartwheeled it on many botched low KE passes, and aside from dislodging the wing (a 2 minute fix with more CA), I haven't had any damage yet.
I'm using a Hacker 20-20L, Hyperion 1200 3S packs and an APC 10x3.8 SF, HS 65's all around. Flying weight is 19 oz.
I find its perfect for lunch breaks even on breezy days when you can't keep a foamy in front of you. This plane has punch, and legs, so you can do whatevery you want in most weather conditions. I get many comments on how nice it looks too.

I picked mine up today. Very nice finish on the kit from what I could see in the box. NICE covering feels very strong, very light. I have an accel 35 too so it will be very interesting to see how they compair in the air. The wing on the Cap is not as big as the 35... Build weight will be the make or break on this deal.

what motor and ECS did you purchase for it? Mine will be here tomorrow morning, and i still have yet to find a motor/ecs that is recommend to run in it.
These guys recommended eather of these motors, as well as the battery to match it. depending on my needs.
What do you guys think? should i be looking at the high performance setup for it. with the 450 motor? or what?

WINDJUNKIE - Is that a OEM or home made motor mount on your Cap?

There are a few threads on the Pro Bro site if you want to look around for alternative mounts.

Just flew it
himax 2816-890, CC25, TP1320
It has absolutely stupid power. Only had time for a pack and a half through it. With throttle just off the stop it will harrier right in for a landing. Wing loading is so light its like flying a big foamie thats not ugly as sin. Looks like the funtanaX is back on the rack for a while.
