I've finished a Parkmaster recently, I know to test a CoG fly the plane inverted and see if it goes down or up and adjust accordingly.
This though it just goes down in hands off but the second you give it any down elevator it's almost coming back over on itself and climbs far too aggressively.
I moved the CoG further forward and also reduced the throws on low rates to see if it made a difference but doing any sort of rolling circle / harrier the minute you're inverted you're immediately giving what appears to be way too much down elevator compared to any other plane and if you got used to flying this one then it would be horrible flying any of the others all of which are all relatively comparable.
The only way I can think to describe it is it's all or nothing and either not quite enough enough (hands off) or instantly way too much and it's hard to get a smooth balance in the middle, the CoG is presently at the fore of the manufacturers reccommended range and yet most of my planes I fly with it at the aft of where it's reccommended.
Anybody any idea's what else it could be - I'd wondered if it could be something to do with the thrustline ?????

Have tried tha a bit as it says to in the manual but if I point it further down, when it's inverted that'll be up, wouldn't it make it worse ??????

OK checked all the links etc last night / this morning, upped the Expo as well, it's pretty much the same although flying it in calm conditions this morning it's not as exaggerated as the wind obviously has been catching it and making it worse.
Having flown another 3 batteries in calmer conditions though I can be a lot more precise in my description and once you get used to it you naturally decrease your input but then you fly another plane and your'e heading for the ground on rolls etc as you're not giving it enough.
One thing I have discovered though with the end point adjustment my TX goes up to 150 and I need to put up elevator at 150 and yet down is 85 to get equal amount of movement on the control surface. The feeling when you're flying it is that up is fine but down wants 10 x's as much expo compared to up and is much much more sensitive, should the variance from 85 to 150 be like that or is it a dodgy servo do you think, it's a Hitec HS65 HB with the karbonite gears so it wasn't a cheapy !!!! To get the servo arm staright it needed a nominal amount of sub trim.

To determine if its a cg or thrust line problem get it straight and level and medium throttle and floor it if it climbs or noses over you need to correct the thrust line. Same with a vertical climb at full power to determine left or right thrust needed.
Once you do that, then you climb at 45 degrees and flip inverted, that will tell you if your cd is correct.

I'm beginning to wonder if it's just the plane, I adjusted the thrust line last night and changed the sideways thrust as well as it was pulling to the right and flew it this morning and it was the same (except have sorted the pull to the right).
Caught me unawares as after flying it I flew my Extreme Flight Extra and nearly cost me the plane as I was so used to virtually no input inverted and when I put the Extra upside down and it started heading for the gound initially seemed to be giving input but to absolutely no response in comparison and just kept heading for the ground until I gave it a whole heap more !!!!!!!! Bit of a heart in the mouth moment !!!!!!!

They make you feel Alive!!!!
j/kOn a serious note, I am hoping to purchase one of these planes in the near future as soon as they are available here.
Will be interesting to see if mine does the same.
Cheers

Mick,
With that acception it's absolutely lovely and makes me a far better pilot than I am, things like rolling harriers which I've been learning recently but am a long way from perfection and can do 4/5 rolls before nosing in, with the parkMaster I can do them almost perfectly and again where I can prop hang other planes for 5 maybe 10 seconds this I'm suddenly well over 30 seconds. Knide edge agian as soon as you get used to how little rudder you need you could just fly it like that flipping it from one edge to the other for the whole battery if you wanted to because it's so easy.
3 batteries and you get used to it and the sensitivity but it's when you then want to fly more than one plane the difference is so much, it almost made flying the Extra an unpleasant experience as I really didn't feel in control of it inverted which hasn't been the case up until now.
I'm thinking I may well just alter the end points so down has much less movement, my only concern then may be if I need full deflection for some 3D and won't be able to get it.
My only other critisism is the piece of elapor below where the motor mount goes needs reinforcing is it'll get ripped out in an instance, I've left the UC off mine and belly land it.
I'm nipping over to the LHS for some bits and pieces later, one of the young guys that works there flies as well as any pilot you see in the promotional video's I know he wants to try one so I'll see what his thoughts are.
