Not really, both 140 and 160 very solid on idle. Once you get above 1/2 throttle the 160 is noticeably more vibration free over 140DZ and it sounds softer.

I've been on a bit of a lunchtime outing today....
After looking through all 10 sheets of 1/16 in my LHS, I thought i'd pop and see what SLEC had in stock...
After weighing what seemed like nearly 4000 6" sheets, I found some that weigh as low as 22 g per sheet!
The weight range is amazing, as I found some sheets that weighed 40 g
Anyways, the upshot is I now have all I need to finish the model! and am covered in Balsa dust!
What a great chap Ian at SLEC is, letting me loose on his Balsa store!!
Regards,
Steve

Oh No! One wing turned out 3mm longer than the other!!!
Revisiting the plan confirmed that the error is on paper!
Luckily, I had not trimmed the bottom sheet when I noticed this, and managed to move the tip rib out another 3mm!
Some of the outboard ribs are now out by a couple of mm cos of this.
Is this why we build both wings to stage 1??
Was this a photocopy inaccuracy, or a CNC error?? I'm guessing a phototcopy error??!
No biggie, and sorted now, just a FYI

Steve

From: Jersey,
Its actually so that you know which wing is which..... wouldnt want to put them on upside down by accident !
Of course colour scheme can help give a clue too in this respect.
It also help knife edge spins when the longer wing upper most

Aye the pink is a good colour. Very good for orientation in bad light or grey days. You guys should try it, might enable you to fly a straight line

The "skirts" you refer to are kilts. Only men can wear them.
You dont need an F3A plane to fly a straight line. Ive won an F3A contest with a Capiche. It just requires a bit of skill

So you picked a Capiche over an out and out F3A model, good for you. So did i as i happens last time i got a model and i really, really enjoy flying it. Does'nt compare to a well trimmed pattern model though as those of you who have flown one will know. I liken it to a Bigfoot and a Ferrari. They're both excellent fun. You can do more with a Bigfoot, go over cars etc but for pure driving pleasure, finesse and accuracy you have to go with the Ferrari. Same with the Synergy and Capiche. Better still do what i did and get both
