I noticed on all the pictures of the 87" YAK and the 85" extra they have a three bladed prop. Is that for clearance? I run a mejzlik 22x10 on my DA 50. Will I have any problems running the same prop on the yak?

We have flown the planes with many different props, including the Menz 24x8. Clearance is not an issue.

Thanks,

Wayne/Chris,
Have you got a weight on the 68" Yak production model shown in the pics? I thought I saw somewhere that Chris said the prototype with a 110 YS is 8.37 lbs. The model in the pics looks great, but I'm still suffering from aeroworks 60/90 edge-itis (7 lbs ending up 9 lbs after dremel work, carbon fiber wing tube, no wheel pants and fiberglass landing gear).

Thanks

The one in the videos is under 9.
Maybe Chris knows the exact number.

Whatever it is, you can see how light it flies in the videos.

PHB....

I have owned the Aeroworks 90 Edge and have seen, held, and flown the Yak. These planes are not even on the same level. The Yak is so nice it is not funny. The Edge COULD HAVE been a sweet plane, but it turn out to be a brick.

The Yak is going to change the "Saito 100" breathing world.......

In my case, I will be installing my 3M 1.40. This baby weights the same as Chris's YS 110. Spins a APC 17x12 at 8600.....is super quiet.....and very sexy CNC milled.....dual glow plugs......throttle transitition like a gasser.....pumped.....can you tell I am so ready to fly this combo?

ORIGINAL: wgeffon

3 pages of pics and videos are now online.

[link=http://www.mw3d.com/modules.php?set_albumName=album06&op=modload&name= gallery&file=index&include=view_album.php]Enjoy![/link]

Is it just me or are these videos choppy? I believe that I have all the latest codecs I am downloading then playing them in Windows Media Player 9, but the audio and video are out of sync and the video is unwatchable...

Is there another codec that I need?

Thanks,

CCDave,

That is the first time I have heard that.
I checked with another person just now and they are OK for him.

Let me know if you dont get it worked out. Maybe I can send you a CD with all of the vids on it.

CCDave....

I went to Microsucks.com (fix as needed!) and downloaded the codec pack. Works like a champ for me in XP.
