Can I use an ignition system off a DA100 on my 3W150? I lost a wire on the stock ignition.

Default DA ign on 3W

Yep, you sure can. IMHO, the DA ign produces a HOTTER spark than the 3W. Other than that, I feel that they(ign units)arethe same. Just different printing on the ign case top.

Enjoy!!

Yes, you can retro-fit the DA Ignition to a 3W engine. You must either install the DA pulse sensor and or rewire the 3W unit to accommodate the DA Ignition module. The timing will have to be checked as well. If you choose to do this I would suggest you contact DA for the wiring issues and an appropriate method of setting and checking the timing.

The DA ignition works on 6 volt's if there is a hotter spark realized it would only be as compared to the older 3W 4.8 units. Current 3W Ignitions also run 6 volts...

It runs anyway. Dosen't seem to have the top end like the stock ignition. I will contact DA tomarrow and find out about timing. Thx for the reply.
