Another potential place to get one of these planes in the UK is from flightpower.co.uk. They are plannig to import some I beleive.

I was speaking to them last week about their electic powered Majestic clone. He recons it has more power than a YS160 and flights of about 20 minutes. Not quite sure how he knows that though since the YS160 isn't released yet - but sounds impressive. Over £500 for a battery pack though ! When the price comes down a bit more though I would certainly be tempted to go this route.

Carbon pipes - they look fantastic but I was a little worried that with the curved end made of carbon too sticking out from within the pipe tunnel. If this hits the ground at any point if the undercarriage came off in the ruff for example it could destroy the whole pipe unlike a ali pipe which could just be bent back into shape. And yes I know you're not supposed to land in the ruff

ORIGINAL: Sprink

Andy, Stuart had the 180, so you can ask him. May be a bit biased though, it was his 180 that tried to cut his arm off [:@]

I was looking at the Central Hobbies website yesterday, the ES carbon pipes did look good, but they are even more expensive than the Hattori.
Thought they might be more expensive
I did know stuart had the 180, still waiting to hear how it was (apart from biting him).

Simon, i have had saitos before, very impressed with them but nnever had anything bigger than the 72.

The first of these kits is in transit (3D ad F3A versions) and we are expecting the first of these kits into stock in the UK on Thursday this week.

We're not primarily a shop for airframes, the original concept was to bring this superb plane in as a demonstrator for our battery capability and the factory has agreed to supply us because of this association - the result is that this much sort after kit is available in the UK at half sensible prices for the first time ever.

The .160 comment came from the pilot who knows more than I. It definitely pulls like a train on the FlightPower 10s4p LiPos and the Hacker C50-13l Acro swinging an APCe 20x11 - the full flight time on this setup is 31 minutes.

We will soon have packs at approx half the price and weight that will pull this bird around the sky with even more power to weight, approximate flight time closer to 22 minutes with the new packs.

Empress.. Majestic-Esque - but we think the top hatch is a neccessary feature advantage over the original for easy battery arming and disarming - we also like the plug-in wings for transport and the abilty to swap between 3D and F3A configurations on a single model.

Just looking at the plane on your site. How does it come out of the box? Is it ready painted, or does it come like the standard majestic?

Thanks

Andy

Julian. Good to see someone in the UK offering this model for a more realistic price. Mines coming on slowly, I'll post some pics pics of the set up before it goes for paint. Now.....what kit do I need for an Electric Capiche 140!

Hello everyone,

I live in Aruba. It’s an island in front of the coast of Venezuela.
I really like this plane very much and I’m considering the possibility of
buying this plane at the end of this year when I’m done with my work placement.

And now wonders where I could buy one of these planes.
And also, are they sold over there in America ???

Thanks in advance for the info,

Danny

Hi,

I think it's fair to say that the negative comments against Probuild here are 'theories' rather that actual facts. The Probuild version of the High Society contains the nomex formers and trays which are 'additional' to the kit. We have experienced problems when using local shipping companies to import models and have experienced the !QUOT!fork blade through fuselage!QUOT! experience on occasion. So we personally travel to Germany and collect and inspect the models before bringing them back here to the UK. In no way is this a holiday, this is a trip there, trip back, overnight stop, yes, but we are travelling from Dorset to Dover, Calais to Germany, then onto PL, back to UK. Holidays - no.

I think it's fair to say that we do try extremely hard to offer the customer value for money , please consider this when comparing our prices to others.

For me this is yet another example of 'office' gossip that once again people have jumped on in a bid to criticize before consideration.

I am really sorry to write such a negative note but on this occasion I feel it was justified.

If you choose to go about your own means of acquiring this model then you are more than welcome to do so.

Please feel free to post any questions and as always I will try my best to offer an accurate answer. Please note, unless is a decent clearly written message which is genuine I shall not reply.

We, and I have said this on so many occasions never started out to make money. I can tell you now, most of us are working in successful professions and don't need the money. This is our extra time, our passion, our service to you. We won't tolerate any negative comments and as I said before we don't welcome statements which are untrue, if that is the case then please feel free to find suppliers which will take this form of 'flack' because we certainly don't that's how serious we are Money driven - sorry passion, perfection and work driven yes. We are the same team, same people, who started this. And we are still here, no name changes at all!

To all of those who have read this message accidentally, I aim nothing at you. I apologize, I am just writing to stop the idiotic remarks that have been written

Kind Regards

Biggles-RCU

didn't mean to insult you by saying you went on Holiday, If I went to Germany I would certainly enjoy the experience!!!
but "LIKE" I said
but mainly cause it stops the fusses from splitting and cracking cause they've had a few too many problems with it.
! Just what you've basically written

But then everybody gets slated. Some people will think your products are the best in the world, some will think they're crap. It's everybodys opinion, maybe you should say on your website what extra's you get in the kit over the one lorenz produce, like the nomex formers. We didn't know the lorenz kit (I'm saying it like this to make it easier to write.) didn't come nomex formers. If we did then that would help.

Phil Williams....a heart felt speech. No ones questioning your passion for the hobby, and your ability to build beautiful models.

However, you cater for those with very deep pockets, yes you double the price of the High Society over its direct price from Germany, if people feel a few bits of nomex justify this thats their decision.

I personally like to shop and find a good deal, which in this instance I feel I did. Mr Siegel is a pleasure to deal with and my model arrived very well packed in perfect condition.

This threads about the High Society, not the morals of your business - if you want to continue this lets take it off air and mail me.
