I am planning on doing the same w/ my UCD 3D 60 size. You just motivated me that much more!!! The benefit of flying 3D on water is that crashes are more forgiving...

the u can do here, has store bought glass floats, about sixty bucks,i believe.

the floats are mounted one the u can do landing gear,i had an extra landing gear from another plane from the past.lol..

i mounted the back gear just behind the wing,i did go in the fuse and beef it up a little.and i used a couple of wood screws to hold the landing gear inplace.

when i put the wing on,i unscrew the the back gear, slide the wing in,and screw the gear back in place, works well.

Cool, but how he can turn in the water? I don't see any steering control in the rear .

there is plenty of prop wash across the flying contriol surfaces that a water rudder is not necessary although it would be nice to have when the wind picks up a bit...
it goes from floats to the field in about 10 minutes.(changing from floats to wheels)

well have u got your 60 on floats yet.....I am thinking, I will do it with mine...I have the O.S 91FX swinging a 15x4 and if I spend the time, I think it will 3D pretty good.....not like wheels of course. but I have read of a funtana on floats that is doing well...
buuuuuut we'll see.....I pave runways highways and roads so I might not have the time to get it on floats this summmer.....but if I do it will be posted here.....or there(the forum for the 60)

broken prop, broken prop rah ,rah, rah,....... does your club have a secret handshake too?
