I know you are talking about Formula 3D, but I'd want to say this:
In 3D flying forum I have read Modeltech Magic 3D is great, but I have not seen any videos, only pictures.
Why? Is it true Magic 3D is very good to hover?
In this forum some people say a lot of foolishnesses.

I've seen the video. It is how I thought. Magic 3D can't do nice hover. If you observe carefully, in hovering the attitude of the plane is very bent forward and not vertical. I think it's impossible to do torque roll because the high wing puts the plane out of balance with regard to vertical rotation axis.

That's the post that got me interested in it in the first place. Kind of died out for a while and most of the recent posts are from the UK. Wondering if and when it's going to be available over here.

the Formula looks like it flys real nice, one here today.
good to see we get something first for once, have fun waiting
not seen the video but maybe its forwards because of the wind? any plane with enough control and power can prophang at 90 degrees, in zero wind

Dear phillybaby
Who did the video could wait for a day without wind. Why didn't he wait? Because surely Magic 3D hovers almost well only with the wind.
Surely in zero wind it wawes like a leaf.
Not all planes can hovers well. Also a piper can hover, but try to do it.

bumpy green wouldn't wait for the perfect day, you'd just shoot the first bit of prophang you get. look at my videos, it's not until many months after having my Cougar that i do get a windless day, we're not all down in the stagnant air of the med.
tell you what i'll try and get a play on the one here, but i'm pretty sure it'll prophang ok, just a bit different to the high wing Cougar i'm used to as it's low wing.

Will have the Formula in my hands within the fortnight
I will post some build pics as I go, in the original Formula thread.
Philly, "stagnant air of the med" Came back four weeks ago, from six weeks on the med,
it blew a gale for 35 days of the 40 days I was there, and I mean, it blew day and night non stop
I swore then, I would never moan about the wind in the UK ever again. [sm=bananahead.gif]
