I built from plans a Sledge some time ago, but with a balsa covered foam wing and fuse. I first had a GMS47 on it but it was ultra pig tail heavy, so I put a GMS76 on it, what the heck. It stayed together, but everything it did was a blur he he. I also had a UCD60, first with a YS120NC, cool, then with a YS120SC, very cool and just the right amount of power if you ask me.

Dave Patrick Models Extra 330L with a DA 50 and 24x8 prop. Goes straight up rolling really fast and hovers right above idle. And not heavy either with the motor for its size.

Sorry that I have no picture, waiting for my digital camera to come. I fly a GP Cap 232 with a GMS .76 bolted on the nose. The plane weighs 6.3 lbs. and rips through the sky. Didn't have to cut the cowl, except at bottom for cooling and pitts muffler, and needle valve opening at top.

All of these planes look awesome.
I have been accused of overpowering my birds in the past.
How about my Midwest Super Stearman with an OS BGX-1 3500!!!
I have pics, but I haven't figured out how to import them to this forum

Yep thats what I have also I just got it this week and only flown it a couple of times, the motor is still new but has MORE than enough power goes up 'till I tell it to stop, it will hover at about 1/4to 1/3 throttle at 15 lbs it is quite over powered with the 5 horse D/A
The two on the bottom is my H9 cap with a bisson 52cc 3.2 also tons of power @18 lbs wet and 26 lbs of thrust...

I have an Ohio RC Extra 300 (88"W/S, 20 pounds) with a ZDZ 80. The plane accelerates nicely going vertical, most other flying is at 1/4 throttle.
I also have a Dave Patrick Edge 540 with a ZDZ 50 which is definatlely a vertical rocket at 15 pounds but not quite as over powered as the Ohio RC Extra.

I have a modeltech .60 p-51 mustang it is the same size as the Top flight 1/7 scale mustang. I used the Top flight canopy becals it is more scale OK back to the point. it has a YS 140 sport on it. I had to move the firewall back and use the Top flight coul. It will out run all the ducted fans I have pulled up to and racing the hanger9's with the saito 100 is to much fun.

World Models CAP 232 with GMS .76 (under construction), should hover no problem.
I hate adding lead to my planes. So many ARFs are tail heavy without modifications, I have just given up and take the upper limit of the recommended 4 stroke displacement and put a 2 stroke of that displacement in all my planes. They tend to balance perfectly with this formula. You don't HAVE TO use full throttle, but it's nice to know you have it when you need it.

Taco .25 with an OS .91 four stroke. A little squirley on the ground past 3 clicks and a hand full to fly. Landings are all dead sticks. To scared to try a power on landing. Flew it twice to win my bet and then stuck a .52 fout stroke on it.

, some 75+lbs of thrust haha.
