Yeh, I'll stick the battery back in the tail.. Someone on this thread has the 1.20 in theirs and I'm just going to try and mimmick their setup.

I guess I should have gotten a Saito 1.00, oh well.

I am on my way to the LHS to pick up my H3D today. My wife and kids are getting it for me for Christmas. Great present or what? My wife says I can't touch it untill after Christmas though. I guess I'll have to just break in the motor for next two weeks. (Saito 100) I'm pumped!

Flew mine yesterday for the first time with OS 1.2 1st gen

Flies very well, however the transparent blue is very bad visually in the direct sun,
it shadows out at almost any angle.

I think I'm gonna have to change the colors for safety.

Mine is up front by the first tube,
I didn't check any cg etc since I was just breaking in the engine and knew that it would probably be nose heavy and it was. I'll move it back next time.

Came out at 7lb 14oz with 4 cell battery and OS 1.2

apc 16/4w or apc 16/6 ! one of these two will suit your flying style.

After a couple more gallons my 100 is really starting to straighten up and fly right, pullout is gettin better every flight.
Course it has cooled down allot and that helps too. but the 100 will stay in it . I do think i am gonna go thru it and see if i cant drop 1/2 a pound somehow. not sure how yet .I had to put some stripes on the wing too. its okay up close but cant hardly see it out 300'. last blue plane i will have. think i will recover it with red or something that don't disappear. As far as how it flies, not much to be said, it flies great. I did upgrade the aileron servos from the 635 hb to a 5945, made a huge diff in handling its much more precise. I think i was stalling out the 635's. The more i fly it the more i like it.

Santa brought me a Harrier 3D and Saito 100 for Christmas.

I plan on swapping the pushrods and hardware for Dubro stuff. What length servo extensions (qty and type) did you guys use ? I have some Futaba 9001's I want to run in it on 6V.

Also, with an APC 16x4W what are my spinner options besides the expensive aluminum guys ... I'm a Heli guy who is just getting into 3D planes !!!

Thanks
Johnny

I have a hard time recommending the 9001 servos. I've had several airplanes (although not the Harrier) with these servos. I've had at least 8 servos strip the gears. I think it's do to flutter because of large control surfaces. This plane I assume would have the same problem. I'm seriously looking at this plane for my next build. I recommend the HiTec 645s. They are cheaper and have more torque, and metal gears. They weigh about a 1/3 oz more but I believe they are worth it. Concerning spinners, I use a Higley prop nut. They don't look too bad and they work just fine. Cost = about $8.
Thanks,
Barry

I just got the cheapy aluminum 2.5" was $10 at my lhs, I did have to fie it out to fit the 16/4 tho. I could not find a plastic sprinner that would work with the 16/4 and still fit the cowl. prop is too big for em i guess.

Hello everyone and Happy Holidays,

Well to start off i woke up christmas morning and be hold a Seagull Harrier was Waiting for me to unwrap. I got a futaba 6exa computer radio. Wondering what servos would be best for it. I am thinking the S3151 digital servos for my plane? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
