Enter a conventional spin and slowly reverse the ailerons. Some will go into flat with neutral aileron and some will need cross controlling (opposite aileron). A rearward CG will help but be careful. It is possible to get it too tight and have to watch it all the way in. Opposite rudder and some power may help to revover. Try with lots of altitude first.
Some planes will flat spin from inverted better usually due to the rudder not being blocked. When you enter an inverted spin the rudder will be reversed. You will be holding down and either left aileron and right rudder or right alieron and left rudder. Then the ailerons are moved in the same direction (which is actually opposite when inverted).
Yes your 60 size CAP will do it. Another spin the CAP excels at is the knife edge spin. Enter a conventional spin and when spinning change elevaror to full down. The plane will come down with the wing vertical and on the side of the fusealge. Altitude is lost very rapidly so try this from a good height. Recovery is all but instant as the plane has a lot of speed. Add throttle and the spin will increase in speed.

Yes, Keep the same rudder as when you entered. Only the aileron will be changed. It is possible to change the direction of the spin and attitude (flip from inverted to upright etc.). This should be done with caution and higher throttle settings. I always increase the idle when doing the cross over type. The reason is the fuel will sometimes be ejected from the carb and the engine will quit. I had this happen on a 35% Extra and the plane was quite low when it happened. Dead stick landings with a giant scale isn't my idea of fun. Double check the idle now!

Hi Ev-BOT,
Might have someone at your club show you the flat spin using your plane,to much aft cg and a little panic might pancake it to the earth gods, knife edge spin will recover as soon as the controls are released, have fun.

Thats what I'm afraid of and my only hesitation, not being able to recover. I've heard too many bad stories. Whats a Knife edge spin and how do you do one?

Hi Ev-BOT,
see post # 2 by EXCAP232,can't improve on his directions,my extra 300l takes opposite rudder and a little speed to come out of flat, especially if I've got it wound up tight, my edge 540 flies out of a flat spin as soon as the sticks are released,my ultimate bipe will fly out as soon as the sticks are released, friend of mine has sig midstar,it takes 5 rotations after releasing the sticks opposite rudder and down elevator with extra throttle then it will fly out immediately.

Another nice maneuver is the inverted flat spin. You need a ton of rudder control to get it good and flat. To do it, get plenty of altitude, then do a half-loop to inverted, then point both sticks at the antenna (full throttle, full right rudder, full down elevator, full left aileron). To recover, just let the sticks go to neutral, let the plane nose down for airspeed, and recover from the nose-down attitude. The more aft the CG, and the more rudder throw you have, the flatter it will go. One word of caution: pull out early until you get an idea of how much altitude you need to recover.
I have a GP Super Skybolt that does these incredibly good.

Most planes will recover fom a flat spin quickly when the contols are released.
The biggest problem with your first flat spin is being mismerized all the way to the ground.
