Kyle-- Couple questions....

1. How long you been flying?
2. How often do you fly?
3. When am I gonna see you at one of these TOC style things?

FREAKIN' CRAZY ROLLERS! I sometimes think I am a pretty good pilot and I think maybe I need a better plane or set-up to fly like you but guess what? WRONG! Turns out I need more skill is all...LOL

Please throw me a bone and tell me you fly every day or something...

I also got the F-90 after watching your infamous Funtana video-

Keep pushing it and thanks for the videos!

James

Thanks guys.

I have been flying for about 3 years, and try to go out out as much as i can. The last few summers i was out flying almost every day. But this summer I have been a little busy and go out every other weekend to fly contest. That video was actually shot the morning before a contest in OR. I still try to go out whenever I can though. Of course I spend a lot of time messing around on the Simulator..

Kyle, Since you've flown G2 and G3, could you comment on the pros and cons of them. I've been told that G2 is better than G3, but I have G3 and love it. I've flown a little of G2 and it didn't seem so great.

Thanks,
Woops

NEVER seen a more perfect rolling harrier than you have Kyle. And that slow KE you do, it almost hits the ground. AMAZING!! I'd like to see a side by side video of this one with the SFG and then one on the right without them. Do the rolling harrier and KE and putt the two videos on a split screen and we can see what the difference those SFGs make. That would be neat. Are you able to do that?

I wonder how many H9 funtanas were sold because of your last video, and how many ST will be sold due to this one! I'm sure you have convinced several people to get one. Horizon should get their priorities straight and sponsor you!

Kyle, You are truly an amazing pilot. Wonderful, wonderful flying. The best I've seen. Good luck to you in the future. It sure seems you have the talent to make a living at this.
Thanks

HAHA. I was talking to him online and told him the same thing. His video of the 40 did inspire me to fly mine more. I now I'm going to have to get the Showtime because of his video. I saw his video and saw it at the LHS and it looked so nice sittin' there.

Great Job Kyle

Actually, that showtime was a gift from Mike M. So, really, they gave me just what i wanted... lol a showtime. I couldnt ask for anything cooler than that! I'm happy as a clam.

I will see what i can do about that Split screen video.. Sounds like a great idea. But it may be a while, because my YS is kinda' acting strange and i need to have it rebuilt before i can fly the showtime again. but i'll get it done ASAP.

Kyle,
How does the showtime compare to the 3D biplane? Can you give some of the pro's and cons of each. Which one's easier to torqure roll, rolling harrier, harriers, ect..
Thanks

Sorry Whoops.... I missed yours.. lol

I think G2 I better if you really want to try to work on being smooth and learn how to correct for wing rock. Everything is SO tippy on there, if you can lean to stop wing rock on tere, it will make real flying seem super easy. G3 is gerat if you just want to try some new manuvers. because the aileron control is there for stalled manuvers too.. And when the plane is falling backwards, it will actually simulate the reversed controls.. It's hard to get a plane to fly smoothly in both 3d and Patern type on G3 though.. Also for actually putting together something (say a freestyle) G2 is the way to go... The plane's speed in relation to the ground matches that of a real plane.. On G2 or AFPD the planes fly much too fast.

As for the Showtime and 3dbipe...

The 3d bipe i think is much easier to fly... Its real mushy feeling and doesnt snap.. So it's hard to spook yourself.. The Showtime is more crisp though.. harrier rolls are about the same. Hovers are more stable with the bipe, but it will wind up in a torque roll way too fast. harrier is more stable with the Bipe, Knifeedge is more stable with the Showtime. elevator is better with the bipe. Flatspin is better witht eh showtime. blenders are better with the showtime, and tipspins are better with the showtime.

But for the most part, when flying around, they feel about the same in the air.

Hi,

Did you notice any snapping tendecies with the Showtime when you are on high rate or when speed is low? I've seen videos of the plane performing walls and parachutes without any snapping however some people complained about flipping over and snapping tendencies.

What is your experience?

Hey Kyle,

Havn't downloaded the showtime vid yet but its your funtana 90 vid that I'm after... I'm busy assembling mine and I'd like to see exactly what it can do I know its on ur site but it won't let me download it, it'll only let me watch it through media player..

I really want a copy so I can put it on the computer at work... I work at our LHS(The worlds coolest job).. So a link to a site where I can D/L a copy would be really nice.

Thanx,

Al

Hey..

For G2 I use the Extra330S Freestyle (SD).

I think this one flies most like my real plane..

Here is a link to the funtana video... you should be able to save from this link..

Yeah, that's a great video. You should go to his site and see the Dropn' In 2, among his other great videos.
