you can do this but you can not trim the elevators once you do this (basically 1 will trim while the other stays at 1 point, its a really wierd mix).
get an 8 channel like hitec supereme and you won't have any problems.

That is incorrect. In the 9C, you can change the channels in the mix - which one is master, which one is slave. In the 9C, trims ARE slaved in the dual elevator mix. In the 7C, they are not.

With a 6 ch. receiver however, you will have to run the Y on the ailerons.

First go to
*AUX-CH in the basic(acro) menu.
Make CH5 read NULL
Then go to a program mix. (I use 3) and set it up as follows. MIX>ON MAS>ELEV SLV>GEAR LINK>OFF
TRIM>ON SW> dosnt matter just pick one POSI>NULL
Then go to the other page and make both your rates 100% Depending on your servo position the could both be + or - 100% or one of each. This should do the trick.

So you have a 7 channel receiver?
1
2
3
4
5
6
B

or

1
2
3
4
5
B

Battery is normally included as a channel - when you go to Futaba's website, notice an 8 channel receiver has channels 1-7 and then a B channel for battery. That's why as I said you would need a Y Harness for ailerons. If you indeed have a 7 channel receiver you're fine.
