If anybody has had one of these planes and has done some 3D with it, what were the control throws set at??? As much as you can get, I set them by the book, she dosen't want to torque roll, I'm fighting it...Theres not much difference between high and low(elevator) rate going by the book...If anybody has been here before, your info would be greatly appreciated... Thanks Kneesaknock'n

The recommended throws on this airplane are wayyyy too small to 3d. The typical aerobatic airplane requires 45 degrees of throw on all surfaces to 3d. Don't forget to use expo!! BTW, moving the CG back on this airplane is not a good idea unless you do so in VERY small increments.
Happy flying,

Try to get as much deflection as you can from the surfaces BUT make sure you use the strongest servoes on the rudder and ailerons. I broke a couple of "jr ultra precision" 90 in-oz servoes on these surfaces and switched to 140 in-oz servos with no problems so far.
With the radio equipment on, frequently check that your servos offer maximum resistance if you try to manipulate the control surfaces. With the power off, make sure that these same servos feel and sound smooth (no clicking or with dead zones) when rotating them by hand.
Also check the fuselage structure just aft of the firewall.
Have, fun!
BTW, what engine do you have on the CAP?

That would be a saito 180 with 18-6 prop, hitec 605's on aileron and rudder, 425's on each elevator half...After a little right thrust on the engine, and 45 degree deflection on the controls she might just be a keeper...
