I really dont like those pilots.
The one you have chosen looks like he had a really bad Vindaloo last night, and is now suffering for it. Then there is the Gay Nazi SS officer with a false eye. The third one doesn't look quite so bad, but not someone you want to leave near children or small animals.

I'm gonna search sofas and stuff 'cause my bike has come upto £260 and thats all in bits....But I have a friend who will assemble for free.
But thats drifting off topics soooo....
See you all at Sandown!

Oh and by the way, I would love a frog or something in my Capiche like Luke. So I am going to do a search around but I doubt and hope I will get the one with the look that Luke has.

I always wondered what a chutney ferret looked like.. now I guess I know !
What do you get if you take a Capiche 50 e, which ways a little over 6lbs with flight battery on board, and swap the battery for one that it 22 ounces lighter, for similar performance specification...

Slim packs yes.. working on a couple of suppliers..... no info yet...
3 month wait - hopefully not... will know more in a week or so...
That said, JP are starting to do LiPos now for the indoor stuff so I might just order from there...less hassle and probably similar money..
22oz indeed - its all in the chemistry !
And thank fully the solution is gonna be less than half the original cost estimate (£260+ trade which is not a practical customer solution obviously).
Lets see... My YS powered C50 after a years hard service and patching up etc weights 5lbs dry. What does 9 fl oz of fuel weigh roughly?
50e with the new battery should weigh approx 4lb 14oz.

edd. 9s 10p you only need a nine cell charger, as for soldering you cant just solder lipos together, you WILL set your house on fire, buy the packs ready made (thats an order!!)

I think he was telling Edible in particular not to solder them. All my packs are self assembled, the cells have metal tabs which you solder to. You have to be very careful as they are fragile as anything, the tabs don't take much abuse before breaking off and too much heat will break the seal, potentially resulting in a fire.
Out of 20 odd packs only half were preassembled and they were later partially stripped to allow cell balancing.
It can't be stated enough however that unless you are fully confident about what you are doing you should buy pre assembled packs only.

your right, i have soldered literly hundreds of cells together, its not for the faint hearted. problem is cell balancing. the 340s are fine if assembled from new and are not shorted when soldering, as they come from the factory balanced within .03 of a volt. the 1500 on the other hand are miles out when they arive and it can take up to two hours to asemble a S/P pack. Eddy, dont listen to anyone unless they tel you to buy ONLY propper packs and charge them very carefully. you WILL burn your house down i promise
this advice is only aimed at the EDible, the rest of you are old and ugly enough to do it right.
