i have the OS120AX in a peak models yak, and yes it has plenty of power, so it should have plenty of power for the extra too, but im below sea level, so if your at altitude it might be a different story, however heres the link and you can see for yourself

I've been doing a bit of background reading before I pull the trigger on one of these combo's. I've settled that the Yak is the model for me, but the engine is taking a little longer.
The spe is also sold by cermark,(as are some of the kits), and have been reported by some to be reliable but a bit lacking in power.
The Peak 26cc is also sold under different badges as SV, LS and I think Grp pro and from the comments I've seen, again are quite reliable and offer a bit more power than the spe.
Based on this I am ruling out the spe, but I have yet to find anyone who can give a direct comparison of the Peak / sv / Ls and the crrc engine also on offer.
The only thing swaying me is the fact that there is a Peak/extra combo at my club which is going well. So I may follow suit.
Iain.

Hi,
Finally the weather was fine this tuesday! It flew perfect!!
I had the CG about 1 cm in front of what was recommended in the instructions and it needed a couple of up trim and a few right aileron to fly straith.
I have a Moki 180B gasoline engine in it and there was PLENTY of power!
Final weight with empty tank was 5100 gram.

Can we get that color here in the US???[X(]
That kicks so much azz![8D]
Very nice Aandreas...I appreciate
the fact that you are keeping the
good 'ole 2-stroke alive. I can't
possibly imagine the benefit
of a larger, heavier and more expensive
4s or gasser in this model except
for the braggards!

After seeing your video I decided to install an OS120AX into my Extra 260 which used to have a SPE40.
Sold off the SPE40 and was going to sell the airframe but thought I would put a new life into the plane and keep it super light with a glow engine.

Any pics of your cowl install would be great.
I am installing the Sullivan On Board Glow system so hopefully I wont have to cut much of the cowl.

Flew the Extra 260 with the AX120 today!! Love the engine!
Started first flick and never went deadstick. Have 5 flights on it so will put another 5 flights and start leaning out. Flew with a APC 16x8 but will try the APC 17x6 that most say works well.
I just have a gap around the pitts muffler and slightly over sized to allow hot air to escape. Hope this will be enough.
Got my Sullivan on board glow today from Tower but not sure if I will use it on this plane as I want to keep it light for 3D.
I ran it in on 20% nitro as thats what I had but I hear 10% or even 5% is better. true?
