I have a 74 in yak that after 12 flights ive had to tighten the pull pull cables afters every 2 or three ,is this a normal stretching period, how long should i have to do this the wires are crimped backed through the sleeve with a loop like most suggest, just curious, wish it just had a servo mount with a rod,its an EXtreme flight yak 74

I've never had to retighten them. Are you sure all your crimps are tight? I usually give a sturdy test pull just to make sure they're tight. Also, if the cable has any twist in it, the vibration could let the clevice loosen or tighten up.

you should check to make sure these wires arn,t cutting into some wood sections somewhere in the fuselage or where they exit. normally when these wires are crimped and tensioned they stay tight, if in doubt you should replace these with my favourate wire which is nylon coated fishing wire trace plus the crimps are long and strong.

My experience has been that they come "unwound" if they are not tight enough. With the setup I had on my YAK, you had to twist the wires to tightened the pull and they where left with a tension to untwist, if that makes sense. To prevent this I think you need a turnbuckle. - That is what I was going to do but I finally wrecked the YAK instead.
I would be interested to hear how other people set up their pull-pull. I may eventually fix the YAK.
