It'sa fly in.
It won't be funfly models, because they aren't 3D models. They're just as welcome but we want to make sure that we keep 3D flying in the slots.
I for instance will be flying Funtana, Freestyle 3D and 3Styla.
I'm looking at having a PA set up so that some AA demos can take place!

No, I just wondered if I should place it as an event. No worries. I think it clashes with an event in Europe, so unfortunately I and my colleagues can't make it... good luck though!

Well Gary Rawlings is after it, i think cuz he smashed his Revolution Pro.
i don't really want to sell it, but if i can make a decent profit then i'd consider it.
£2000 RTF? lol
see if i can get my mutn back in time for the fly-in, or might just buy a gator one as you say.
Does it have, and need a nose ring?

I've been told that the dubro iso-mounts are gonnabe best for it.... due to the nature of it. Also the gator design isn't apprently ideal.
If probuild had told me about engine mounts what i've just been told by a clubmate i'd never have got the compositi! Great for smooth stuff basically

Are you sure? I've never heard of th eDubro mount. I've been recommended the Gator by quite a few people, and it is one of the most ideal mounts in my opinion for wooden airframes. Anywhere that I can check out the Dubro>?

Dubro work out about an oz heavier than the Gator, from what I remember. I bought the Gator, but my YS 120 did not fit with the slimline pitts muffler attached, so had to buy the Dubro one instead.
Dubro comes in two halves, another reason to use the Gator mount.

since when is the 3styla a funfly?
its an F3A / 3D Hybrid .
Get your facts right!
Plus I didnt say they're not welcome, I said we're trying to keep it to 3d flying. You shaould know ytourself that flying the capiche is heaven compared to a limbo dancer in 3d mode!
The funtana needs nose weight anyway (well mine does!) basically the problem is that im putting the model in all different directions and using the engine torque so a softer mount is just making vibration and shaking the plane to bits. With the MC mount if i throttle up i could watch it move about 2 degrees to the right even with the nose ring, and the whole mount twisted... not ideal in this model. Only takes a little imagination and thought to think of the stresses on that mount, and I think it's on that account that it broke so quickly.
I may try the gator because I think it will be suitable and will certainly do the job, but I'd say the Dubro type will be better. It's just two metal beams with iso mounts on the end basically.
Probably waffled a bit in this post! Bedtime!

I am runnin the most bangin YS 140L in the world on the gator. Ring Phil, tell him about the Model composeti, (and look for Roberto G on RCU, and tell him via PM), and take it from there.

Nathan, why dont you post a side profile of the 3styla on here.
Sure looks more like a fun fly than a 3D aero plane.
Are you really saying its not a hovering machine, and its not in the genre of the Hype, Madness, Flip, Laser 3D etc.
Youre saying it does smooth f3a style manouvres and 3D too.!!??
Not convinced at the moment but open to changing my mind !

From watt little i have seen i think it looks like a cross between a load of fun flys (bit like putting all the bits of the funflys you have broke in a tumble dryer with some cyano! hey presto another fun fly.) all in needs is the flip colour scheme ton it to finish it of

Whahey! If the funtana needs nose weight with YS 140 then my Moki 180 will be perfect!
To me the 3styla looks like a funfly version of the capiche, or what dave describes!
When i saw them they were just doing funfly stuff i think.
They looked nice and light but not patterners(but no one should probably believe a word i say about this)
