Well come on, a little pride for a plane that you are so close to is allowed ain't it? Even Archie can get optimistic about the Capiche, and rightly so. The Styla probably rocks, but barely anyone has flown one.

I wonder what the 3styla would be like ultra ultra light with a jeti phasor 15/4?

One of the big advantages of a kit (v ARF) is that you can change things if you dont like them. Nathan, you want to change things then go ahead.

But...

Seeing as you are involved in the project, feeding back those changes to improve things would be a good idea. May lead to more sales.

(and that goes to you Archie with the Capiche!)

I must admit I enjoy seeing Nathan get a ribbing, I have never met the bloke / kid (look forward to meeting him at W&W) but i have read so many SCATHING attacks by him aimed at people i know and respect (Alan Greenfield and Pete Tindal to mention a couple) that i think he deserves it.

Keep it coming but stop just before he cries

Luke as for the brit / American thing, is that a racist comment? :rainfro:

I have Spoon.........Therefore i stir

Oh dave,,Youve done it. Ill be there to see your 'meeting' with nathan at Wings and Wheels. Will post pics for anybody who doesnt make it! (just joking)
tut tut accusing me of racism? :boxing:
I can't help but laugh when i read what some of the american guys write 'that water in england is not only rotting your teeth but your brain as well, no offence meant of course'
I love em soo much!
I'd forgotten about when numerous people attacked pete . That was worse because his buisness was being slated. Some people really have no idea who and what they are talking about do they?

I for one do not want to make any enimies (especially any of us Brits) so i am sitting firmly on the fence . I do not mean to offend or make anybody pissed off. I learnt that lesson when the toys came out of the pram with Biggles a while back!

Now off to bed. Ive got bl*%dy school tomorow! :disappoin

Crikey, Ive only been gone a few hours.... this thread is really starting to rock !

sprink, I agree about testing, and as far as feedback on changes are concerned I think we have gone more than a mile on that one presenting everything on the capiche website as it happened - warts n all.!!

Question is, are we really up to going through the same hoops again before bringing the next model to the market. I know plenty of manufacturers who draw it, build it, kit it, fly it, sell it... if you know what I mean !

Ho hum.

What with 3style and everyone else going to W&W by the look of it Im disapoointed I wont be there to see the "meeting". Be sure to have that camera handy Luke !

I must admit Nathan, I am a little inclined to see 3 Style and the Boys point. You can be a bit.....err... assertive on here sometimes.!! And dont say you only joke.... Ive read enough of your posts... you are pretty prolific lets face it.

I note you didnt answer 3Styles questions.. how about it !?

But you have to understand.....Of course Nathan is going to be posotive about the model. Sure, I don't agree with some of his over 'descriptivness' of how the model beats everything else. However, I often see Archie getting excited about the Capiche. Its perfectly allowed though, as the amount of work you put into the model means that you are gonna think its the best out there. I understand this, and I suppose that everyone else see's how proud Archie is of the Capiche. So why not let nath be a happy little camper too?
Archie, nothin offensive meant, son't tak eit the wrong way. Did you have that raffle at Sandowne in the end?

no robert, organisers wouldnt let us ! and besides we ran out of time.

I dunno if I missed something but I wasnt having a go about nathan supporting the 3styla was I?

I would never claim the capiche is the best... someone is bound to say it aint... but we are pretty pleased with it, and can only accept what other pilots tell us... but it took 6 months hard work to get from brain to kit.... mind you most of the work is on the build, cnc work and construction design. The actual aerodynamic . control design is much easier.

This was my first involvement in taking a design from brain to kit, and if Im honest I under estimated how long it would take..

Im expecting our new hinges to arrive soon.. Ill send you some Robert.. I still have your address somewhere !

Roberta,

I think you are

1 Taking all this too seriously

2 I don't think you have been privy to some of Natans old posts (although i must admit i have not seen any full blown character assassinations for a month or so) otherwise i think you would see it from my point.

3 i have not slated nathan? have i ?? just enjoying a bit of just deserts, he is a young man growing up in a big world, the earlier he understands that the more bridges you burn Etc. he has "slated" many a plane himself, so its nice for him to see it from the other side.

i certainly would not wish him dead, like he did in a scathing attack to one of my friends (anyone remember that one)

Time to take a chil pil

Ouch F+*k my foot just went through my soap box!
I must loose some weight!!

Wow guys!!! plenty of interesting post to read in the office this morning!!!!

I wasn't going to W&W's as it seemed to be full of WW2 stuff that aint my bag....but now I see the possibility of another war - I can just hear the high pitched tone of a Dave Bishop comentary as the flight line declines to a savage brawl of man and boy......I bloody can't wait!!!!!!

I take the piss.....therefore I get punched.

Haven't been using RCU for long, havent see many of Nathan's other posts.

However he is only 14. Long time ago for me now (16 years!!!), but I do remember everything was black and white, cool or crap for me then too. I also used rather strong language as throw away comments.

To quote my parents at the time "don't worry about it, it is just his hormones kicking in".

Can't make wings and wheels, so video will be appreciated!

I work, therefore I surf RCU

3d aerobatics categories, what about the scale/imac stuff - Extras, CAPs , Sukhoi et etc, they fall into their own 3D category.

I work, therefore I surf RCU - LOL soooo true !!!!!!!

Id say they simply fall into scale aero category.... these other categorys are only for models designed as models if you know what I mean..

hmmm maybe,

although I was looking at it from a 3d point of view, they have their own place in 3d aerobatics. The CAP 232 is a very capable 3D plane.

but what the heck, they are all toy aeroplanes at the end of the day !

I do tend to lean towards scale/imac stuff myself. Building a GP Cap 232 40 at the moment, which I am setting up to do 3D.

Using my own definitions, I suppose they have to be freestyle. Certainly dont have funfly wings, and original intention of all of these (full scale) is for smooth flying aerobatics.

By the way, and excuse my ignorance, but what does "LOL" stand for? I see it a lot but have no idea what it means. :confused)

I surf, therefore I spend far too much money on this fantastic hobby.

Arnie, this thread has just become a place where us Brits can get together. I'm enjoying it.
